Letter C Fun!

We had lots of fun with letter C this week. We started by using tongs to make a colorful caterpillar. When we went on a hunt for caterpillars outside later that day, but we didn't have much luck finding them....

We traced and then tried to use different shapes of paper and copy cat a cat!

We cut out a circle clock...

and played Candy Land (many times this week, it's a family favorite).

We cut open a cantaloupe (Alexis guessed the inside to be green so she was surprised when we cut it open!

After lunch we did a Car puzzle and made a candy corn C for dessert.

We watched Kieryn play volleyball on Monday night! Her team lost but they played so well!!

On Tuesday we tried a new recipe and made cake mix chocolate chip cookies. They were AMAZING!

While they were baking we played cookie memory. All the images on the back were things that started with C. Once we got a match, we had to put it in the (paper) cookie jar.

And we had time for a cotton ball cloud...

While Kieryn and Ronan had practices on Tuesday night we played on the track at the new middle school rec center!

We started Wednesday with a photo shoot to promote 4-H! These three have really enjoyed all the fun activities, especially the fair.

We had a lot of fun with Cars on Wednesday for letter C.

We did cupcake shape matching...

And later we used crayons to create a Car City....

It's starting to feel a lot like Fall here! We had no where to go on Wednesday evening so the kids loved raking the leaves into piles and jumping in!

On Thursday we started our C lesson using Cranky the Crane and matching circles to the right letter for some name practice.

We did a Cinderella puzzle...

C stamping...

and some crazy color mixing and finger painting...

...to make a cross! We took time to talk about why the cross symbol is important to us...

Ronan had football on Thursday night but I didn't have my phone so sadly, no pictures. His team lost, but he did a wonderful job at stealing the other team's flags! He's so fast!!

On Friday we colored in the morning and then enjoyed some Cow Cheese for lunch...

we ended the lesson by playing catch!

Over the weekend, Tyson got his first haircut! He looks so grown up!

If the weather agrees with us, the kids will get to ride in a combine on Monday when we visit the Haug farm. We will play with cats and see cows! What a great way to end our letter C learning!

Until next time!
