Great Week!

This week Alexis covered letter G and the big kids completed week 11 of their curriculum. It was a rainy and cold  week... so we had much more inside time than we prefer but we made the best of it with hide and seek, the bouncy house, indoor golf, and "getting groovy" dance parties!

Monday was full of alphabet singing, grape G/g matching and golf...













Tyson is having lots more awake time!



We are impressed with how well Alexis can trace and color for being 2 (close to 3 years old)!



The big kids had fun creating a golf course in the basement when they were done with school. They had lots of fun obstacles!



Also on Monday Tyson turned two months old! We celebrated by cheering on the Chiefs at 3:00pm









On Tuesday Alexis had fun pretending to plant a garden! This was fun for all the kids at multiple times this week!

On Wednesday we got groovy and made a guitar! We had fun adding other instruments and making a band!







The big kids are working hard!



Thursday was the only warm and sunny morning all week...SO we took a glorious field trip!! Grandma Haug came along to the pumpkin patch and we got to pet goats! I think their favorite part was the giant slide... did you catch all the letter "G" things we did? It was really windy so Tyson slept or was in the van with Grandma or I. We had a GRAND time!

On Friday we did some school before ending the week with our "treat store." It was a great week!!

Break week!

We took the week off! After completing 10 straight weeks of school I decided to take the week to celebrate/enjoy fall! Monday was Daddy's 39th birthday so we baked a cake together and decorated it. We made cards, decorated the basement for a party and decided on some party games! The kids helped get the dinner ready. The next day I had the kids journal about their favorite part of being party planners! 

Daddy really liked his birthday gift... There was shrimp too!



Tyson slept through dinner and the party part, but he had good birthday snuggles with Daddy later that evening!





On Tuesday we went on a hike in our favorite spot!











The rest of the week was spent staying in PJs for most of the day, playing outside, going to the play ground, jumping on the trampoline, writing fall stories, and loving the fall weather! On Friday instead of the candy store we played games, and played the WII together!





Saturday evening turned out to be perfect firepit weather so we had dinner around the fire, and made smores for dessert! 



Tyson enjoyed his first firepit experience!







It was a great break for everyone! Fun week for sure!
