Fantastically Fabulous!

We started "F" week off with some french toast for breakfast on Monday morning! After we got ready for the day we did some fish activities...

On this game, the kids each had a fishing pole and had to cast it over the back of the couch to see what letter fish they would catch. Then they had to put them in the correct order for their name. Kieryn loved this one!

While Kieryn was at school, Ronan and I played f and practiced animal sounds. We read a few farm books and planted quite the field! We played farm several times this week!

For afternoon snack we had goldfish and practiced counting. Ronan did 1-6 and Kieryn had to do 7-12. They both did great!

Then we did a fish treat!

And then we decorated the house for fall!

The kids each made me a new fall decoration!

Turned out great!

On Tuesday we reviewed the family chart. The kids love the story of our family! They played with this for the rest of the week.

We also made a friendship flower and talked about how we can be better friends. Didn't get pics of that one...we were able to practice cutting and gluing.

On Wednesday we reviewed fire and what to do if we see one, have fire in the house, or have fire on our clothes. To help with our lesson, we made a finger puppet named Fred.

Then we played with our fire trucks.

And of course we practiced being firefighters. The gear didn't last long since it didn't stay on, but the kids had fun practicing dialing 911 and putting out the flames!

On Thursday we practiced tracing letter f and then talked about a frog life cycle. We matched some shapes and then made a frog to help us to Fully Rely On God (FROG). The fly that the frog ate represented our fears and things that make us sad. We talked a bit about what that meat and what we can do. Ronan wore his frog shirt for this day!

After we picked Kieryn up from school, we had lunch with friends at the Zoo.

And that evening we met our friends again at Founder's Park for flag football and freeze pops! The kids actually had a blast playing football! I wasn't sure how it would go.

On Friday we finger painted the letter F, and talked about the fruits of the spirit. There was a song to help.

We spent the rest of the day at Bullfrog Valley Pond with friends!

Over the weekend we visited Hershey Park for the last time of the season. The next time it is open will be for their Halloween festivities... not all the rides will be open. Can't believe it is changing to fall so quickly!

Excellent and Exciting Week!

We started "e" week by checking out a big excavator that was parked near our town home. They are doing a lot of construction to add more town homes, so we occasionally get to see them working. Ronan loves it!

On Monday we did a review of creation... We reviewed everything that God created!

On Tuesday we did letter e matching with eggs. We reviewed emotions and practiced making faces.

We also did a few experiments! First we traced "e" and then brushed a brown egg white again with our toothbrush and paste to simulate brushing our teeth really clean. Then we talked about how God erupted with excitement when we prayed. So we said some prayers.

On Wednesday we did some excavator practice with sorting big E and little e. Then kids actually had a great time with this. One was in charge of rolling the dice, the other was in charge of scooping and dropping off the load.

On Thursday we talked about exercise, eating, and getting dressed and practiced sorting pictures that related to those topics. We practiced putting envelopes in order big to small and vice versa. We ended the lesson with some music and exercise of our own!

While at story time, Ronan was excited to find the elevator and push the button!

On Friday we did an elephant color match, pattern match, and played with Ela the Elephant. Turned out to be a fun week with letter E!

On Saturday we spent time with our friends. The kids all get along so well!!

Until next time...
