Snow Day!

Kieryn had lots of fun watching the snow fall. She was amazed at how much there was and REALLY wanted to go out and play in it... but it was a little to chilli for that.

We had to have fun indoors... and boy did we ever!

Her favorite thing right now is turning our living room into a jungle gym. She LOVES jumping onto the pile of pillows. 

On Sunday we ventured to the Women's basketball game. It was Kieryn's first game and she was just amazed with everything!

Kieryn had so much fun making her Valentine's this year! She worked very hard with paint, crayon, marker, and stickers to tell all the special people in her life how much she loves them!

We surprised Daddy on Valentine's Day with a card and a new mug for his desk at work!

And a delicious breakfast!

He surprised Mommy with flowers and a pregnancy massage... just what I need!

And Mommy & Daddy surprised Kieryn with stickers, stamps and a few new books. She loves them!

Our craft for this week was to make some additions to our musical instruments. We did bell bracelets and a necklace out of pipe cleaners. Kieryn loves dancing in the morning with them. 

I even did one for baby #2... the white one is made from yarn for easy grabbing.

On Sunday we ventured to Seneca for a bridal shower and to spend time with the grandparents. Grandpa and Kieryn were having fun with her train... or "cho cho" as she calls it. She always loves seeing the animals.

Just over the half way hump... 22 weeks...18 more to go, can't wait to meet our little guy!

Fun with Family & Friends

Last week we had a few warmer days, so Kieryn enjoyed feeding her birds. She was having so much fun making her piles.

Grandpop & Grandpa time! She's showing them how to use an iphone. Grandpop was visiting from Maryland over the weekend.

On Saturday we got to spend the day in Auburn and Topeka. It was great for Kieryn to spend that time playing with Grandpop!

Her favorite part was seeing, petting, and RIDING the horse and donkey!

We even had time to visit the play place at the Kansas History Museum. Kieryn loved the train! She and her cousin Chase would get along GREAT right now! She just started saying "cho cho" when she sees or hears a train.

 We celebrated Great Grandmom's 80th birthday at the Blind Tiger on Saturday night. Kieryn and Haley had the giggles most of the time we were there!

Before we headed back to Manhattan, Kieryn had to show off her KSU pjs in honor of the Wildcat's victory over Iowa State!

 Last Wednesday we had our sonogram for baby #2. We got a clean bill of health and found out that it's a..... BOY! He was very active during the sonogram and we've been feeling more regular movement/kicks each day!

We shared our news with family and friends over the weekend with some Hershey bars...seemed appropriate since we'll be moving there shortly after baby #2 is born.

 

 

Everyone was surprised and excited. We are very happy that baby #2 is healthy and active... can't wait to meet him on June 22nd! Hopefully I'll hopefully be posting sonogram pictures soon... I can't get our scanner to work at the moment, so keep fingers crossed for the next post to have a few!

Crazy Kansas Weather

Last Monday the weather was sunny and about 60 degrees.... and the following day it snowed and didn't get above 20 degrees until the end of the week. We tried to take advantage of the "warm" Monday as much as possible! We did bubbles, played in the water, and Daddy even got to come home early to play with us outside. He and Kieryn had a great time washing the Kia!

 

Afterwards, they went for a bike ride. This is something we'll be doing more when the weather is consistently warm. Kieryn loves it!

Yesterday, Sunday, my friend Kala and I put on a baby shower for our friend Carrie. The theme was "Oh baby it's cold outside," and BOY was it cute!

Kieryn and Daddy got to help with some set-up too. They even enjoyed a doughnut and some piano playing!

Bump buddies for about 2 more months! We are anxious to meet little Lane and our well wishes go out to Carrie & Ryan as they welcome their little man into the world!
