Quick Letter Q Week!

There’s not a lot of activities this week for letter Q, but we talked about it a lot… our days were thrown for a loop with my Grandma’s sudden decline and passing. We still learned a lot and had fun in the activities we did do. Alexis still seemed to recognize and know the letter so I am satisfied…

Tyson is going to love the beach! I had to remove this kid from the sand at the playground kicking and screaming!



We talked about some Queens we know…

I got to help at Kieryn’s crochet club on Wednesday… she has really learned a lot!



We learned checkers for game night and it has been played daily since! Fun night, Kieryn remains the reigning champ! 



We made quick sand and played in this several days…





Never got to use the quill to write or make a paper quilt, but we had a good “Q” week none the less. 

Next week is big as we sign Alexis up for preschool! Hard to believe we’re going to have 3kids in school next fall! Tyson will just have to take over my blog!

Valentine’s Week & Teacher Conferences!

Valentines Day was busy but we managed to do our scavenger hunt in the morning before school… because after we had a basketball practice and 4-H meeting… the kids had fun!

We did not do a letter this week because the big kids only had three days of school and it is hard to do just three days of a letter… so we played games, built forts, etc



Alexis loves coming to the 4-H meetings with us! She’s not quite old enough for the cloverbud stuff but they let her join in anyway.! 



We had lots of fun outside…



Then on Saturday Kieryn and Ronan competed in the hot shots shoot out and Kieryn got third out of 9 kids… 



Ronan got 5th of about 22 kids…



Later on Saturday we had a 4-H cake decorating meeting and the kids loved it!!



We ended our week with some KSU Women’s Basketball! It was a great time!

This week Alexis and Tyson learned about letter P…

We had a pretzel snack which Alexis was very proud of because she suggested it!





And because the weather was nice we visited several playgrounds last week!

I got to help at Kieryn’s crochet club on Wednesday… they had about 12 kids, all loving to crochet! It was a blast!



Kieryn won game night! We played a family game of “Life” and it took two Wednesdays to finish. 







You bet we had lots of peanut butter this week! 





Ronan had a basketball game on Saturday morning and had one jump ball!





Afterwards we headed to Riley for the 4-H showcase…





Kieryn and Ronan both played a recorder song… 











And later Kieryn gave a talk on story writing! They did wonderful and had a fun time too!





The Sun was out over the weekend but it was cold and windy…. These two had moments of wanting to go out and play…



Where did this pile of sticks come from you might ask…





It’s a fort for Alexis and her two friends! They played outside for hours in the cold on Sunday! And had a blast!
