Rejoice! He is Risen!

We spent this week talking about the true meaning of Easter and did lots of fun Easter crafts! We began by dying eggs on Monday so we could enjoy them all week!

Then we made "sin rocks" and put them in our baskets. We talked about what sins are and how our sins were and are forgiven thank you to Jesus and his dying for us. The kids had fun gathering and decorating them! On Good Friday, when Jesus died, I switched the sin rocks with all their Easter treats to demonstrate the joy and excitement we should feel when our sins are forgiven.

On Tuesday we did some egg matching...

Read an Easter story...

And then did "resurrection eggs" to help the kids remember the story. They love these! We did them on two more days as well.

Tuesday was the warmest evening of the week so we did egg hunt with Grandma and Grandpa.

On Wednesday we did a tomb craft and talked about Jesus rising from the grave.

Then we did a cross craft. The kids liked the hammering part the most.

That night Kieryn helped Grandpa plant potatoes and onions.

On Thursday we made Easter sugar cookies! YUMMY YUMMY!

While we waited for the first batch to cool the kids did a few Easter fun sheets.

The Grandparents surprised the kids with an Easter basket after Holy Thursday mass.

Then, on Friday we loaded up and headed to Great Wolfe Lodge in KC. It was a mini vacation with the Copp family. Dale, Sandy, Kevin, and Tiana were visiting from Maryland!

Cousin memories!

Thanks again Dale and Sandy for such a special treat! This was a vacation that we all will never forget!

The kids crashed on Saturday night!

On Sunday we ventured to Auburn for Copp family Easter!

There was an egg hunt...

Throwing some rocks and sticks...

And viewing/petting the animals!

We even got to snap a few family pictures!!

What a wonderful Easter!! Thank you Copp family! We love you all so much!
Until next time...

Lucky Us!

This week we talked about St. Patrick's Day! We began on Monday talking about St. Patrick and how he used the shamrock to teach about the holy trinity.

We practiced cutting and gluing.

On Tuesday we did some counting/math.

We watched a quick video about St. Patrick...

And played a rainbow Fruit Loop color match game.

That night we went for a family walk... Beautiful night!

On Wednesday we drove to Manhattan to meet up with my friend Kelcii. The kids did a shape match game using stickers on the ride.

On Thursday we wore our green! We made green pancakes and made cookies  to celebrate the day!

On Friday we painted a leprechaun...

Played an alphabet matching game using a pot of gold...

And a rainbow number match game!

I finished the family Easter baskets on Saturday! Just in time!! "C" bring for Copp... Steven and I plan to share.

Until next time...
