Fair Week!

Last Monday, the 19th, Tyson turned 11 months... it's so hard to believe that in one short month he will turn 1 year old!

We made it to the pool about two times last week as our week was filled with fair activities for 4-H. This is now our second year in 4-H but the fair was totally different than last July due to COVID cancelling a lot of fair activities last year.

We had photo judging on Tuesday...

Kieryn received a purple ribbon on the photo on the left but they had to add it later. That photo will appear at the state fair in September! She got a blue on the bird.

Ronan also got a purple on one of his photos, but he has to be 9 years old or older in order for his work (purple ribbon winners) to be entered into the state fair...

Because it was such a busy week we did some seriously fast/athletic cleaning! Alexis took that to heart!

This was the photo that Alexis wanted to enter into the fair...

On Tuesday night we checked out "kid's night" at the Kaw Valley Rodeo!

Kieryn even got in the ring to chase some calves with about 100 other kids!

On one of the days we went exploring and checked out the goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, cows, and other fun livestock!

Friday was lego creation judging! This was so fun for the kids!

Ronan got a purple and a blue!

Kieryn had a LONG chat with this judge. Apparently legos are not supposed to go to the State fair, but because she had so many interesting structural features this judge thought it needed to make an appearance! We will be sending this lego creation to the fair under the "architectural block construction" category. We are excited to see how she does! She got both purples on her lego creations!

On Friday night we enjoyed some of the carnival rides!

On Saturday the kids had an adventure with Daddy and got donuts!

We went back to the fair to watch the dog show, but it was cancelled due to the heat. We enjoyed some socializing instead!

On Sunday Kieryn and Ronan tried their hand at the pedal tractor pull. It was fun and they both did well!

Until next time! What a fun fair week!!

Great Week in July!

It was a cooler week so we enjoyed lots of outdoor time this week! We spent Monday morning at Anneburg park. Ronan had a 4-H fishing clinic and we loved watching the geese and playing at the playground!

Alexis found some really neat snails!

On Wednesday we went to Topeka for Kieryn's swim meet.

Great Grandmom Copp even got to see Kieryn swim. It was a so fun to have her there!

On Saturday we spent the day at Pott #2 Lake with the Haug family. We got to fish, relax, kayak, and enjoy yummy food!

Kieryn swam her last meet at Baldwin on Saturday morning. She medaled 1st place in her 100 Freestyle. She was so happy to make it back to join us for some fun on the water!

It was a big day for our "littles"!!

Then on Sunday Steven and I celebrated our 12 year anniversary. We LOVED our relaxing day at home and some much needed couch time with a night cap and yummy snack! So many blessings for us over the past 12 years! We felt so loved by the kids too! They threw us a small anniversary party with some cards and signs... and they surprised us with a super clean basement! Love this family!!

Family Fun and A Birthday!!

We spent Monday and Tuesday with our neighborhood friends at the pool… on Wednesday we loved watching Kieryn’s swim meet in Wamego! 2nd in Freestyle; 2nd in Breaststroke; and 4th in Backstroke!

Tiana and Uncle Kevin arrived from Maryland late on Wednesday so we started Thursday morning with some outdoor fun… we did batting cages before lunch…

Then had some quiet game time!

Later Tiana taught us all her Tye-Dye tricks!

We enjoyed personal pizzas from Papa Murphy’s! Yum!!

Friday was Kieryn’s 10th birthday so we got Varsity Donuts in the morning…

Then ventured over to the fairgrounds to help work our 4-H club fundraiser for a few hours…

Tyson napped in the stroller while Tiana and Alexis got to view the swine!

Opened a gift after lunch…

And then everyone put on their tye-dye creations for the evening festivities!

More gifts…

And then a late dinner at Moe’s before heading to the music festival at City Park…

Alexis got her big girl lego set for finally committing to her toilet training! 😉

And on Sunday we finished the week with Kieryn’s 10th birthday party!

Pool party!!

We are so lucky that this kid loves his stroller time!! What a great week!!
