GGggrrrreat!

We began Monday with letter G - some grapes and a tracing sheet.

That afternoon we read the Cars Go-Go-Go book and they did the same all over the living room track!

On Tuesday we talked about God and did a color matching sheet and read a book. We also sang a few songs and danced to God is so Good, and Our God is an awesome God!

Then we made green glasses and read the g book.

That afternoon we visited the farm again and fed the goats!

On Wednesday, bright and early (5:45am), Steven, the kids and I headed to Hershey Medical Center for my surgery... I was scheduled to have a cyst removed from each ovary. After Kieryn went to school, Ronan hung out with Daddy in his lab... watching Thomas the Train.

My surgery was laproscopic, so I went home the same day. It began at 8:30am and I was heading home by 2:30pm. As it turns out, they had to remove my left ovary but did nothing to the right one. The right cyst had completely disappeared! The hardest part will be the activity limitations they set... no lifting anything heavier than a milk jug until after Nov. 13..aawww! Luckily the Grandmothers were able to come help for awhile. Sadly I'll have to take a month off of teaching my exercise classes... this is going to be soooo hard!

That evening we made some green goo and an obstacle course to keep the kids entertained while I rested!

On Thursday we began the day with dentist appointments for Kieryn and Steven...

And then we made water globes...

a glitter gown for Elsa...

and did gumball drop and color matching...

On Friday we did a letter "g" hunt and Kieryn found 5 things with the g sound. Then we did an alphabet search. Kieryn and Ronan both liked playing in the beans!

Friday was picture day at gymnastics, so Kieryn showed us the pose she did... purple gumball lips and all!

G is for Giving Gifts! On Sunday evening Kieryn gave her friend Amy a surprise gift - two new dress up dresses that she no longer wore! Amy loved them!

Amy was so adorable in her new dresses!

We have been so thankful for friends and family over the past few days. Thank you all for your help with food, taking care of the kids, and taking care of me! I am so blessed to have so many special people in my life, thank you again!

Grandmom Copp, thank you for helping over the weekend! Grandma Haug, we look forward to having you visit all next week!

Fabulous Fun!

We began letter F this week with some sugar drawing.. and finger drawing. Kieryn liked it but it got a bit messy! :)

This week's bible lesson was about fish. So the kids made some fish out of beads (cereal for Ronan) to hang on the fridge to remind us of the miracles of Jesus and how we should follow him.

Afterwards we did some letter fishing... we practices spelling fish, flower, and Kieryn's name.

Ronan had his own boat...

That afternoon we went with some friends to Bass Pro to see the fish!

On Tuesday we began the morning with french toast! Kieryn got to help.

Then we talked about food and the food pyramid. We really just practiced putting foods in the correct food group. Surprisingly she was very good at this!

Then we talked about a healthy plate... all in hopes to help her eat a little better... we'll see what happens...

Then we did freight train painting...

On Wednesday we talked again about Jesus. We watched a short 2 minute video about the disciples casting their nets to the other side of the boat and catching lots of fish...then did a lesson on fish ... we practiced patterning (which didn't go that well), and we made fish caught in nets to represent the disciples trusting in Jesus and casting their nets to the other side of their boats.

Then we traced letter F and made a fish F...

When Kieryn went to preschool, Ronan finally got time to play with the fish too. He enjoyed it!

That afternoon we talked about family and practiced grouping families together. Kieryn loved this and did it multiple times after...

Ronan had fun too!

Weather has been cold, rainy, and very windy... so late afternoon evening we did a footprint F in the garage...

And did spray bottle letter/number search in the bath...

On Thursday we played a flag matching game and letter F/f matching with fish bubbles...

This game involved running from one end of the house to the other... always love doing this kind to get some energy out!

And that afternoon we reviewed fire safety with books, coloring, and practice - stop/drop/roll

On Friday we read books about the farm and played with the farm set before heading over to the farm to feed the animals and enjoy some ice cream with friends!

Hershey Park in the Dark was open this weekend so we went on BOTH Friday night and Saturday. The kids dressed up both times and had a total blast!

We hung out with our friends Callen & McKenzie!

They got to use flashlights to look at animals in the zoo... it worked out perfect with F week!

Saturday at the park the kids dressed up as a lion and a monkey because it was a lot colder than Friday...

We got to enjoy the festivities with our good friends the Pelphrey's who were visitng from NY.

Kieryn and Noah miss one another so much so it was fun to see them having fun together!

We just love these two wild animals!!
