First Full Week of School!

Fun week! We traveled to Seneca for the total eclipse! It was so amazing! The kids had fun roasting marshmallows at totality!

The rest of the week was just adjusting to our new "school schedule". On Saturday I made and froze salsa, applesauce, and fresh garden vegetables!

That evening we enjoyed some fishing at Pott. #2! The kids love this, so we'll be doing more of that I'm sure!

School week!

School is back in session!! We still had two days of "summer" this week... We met friends at the Wamego park on Monday.

On Tuesday we had a "home play day" and went swimming. That night we had two Back-to-School events to attend.

Wednesday was the first day of school! Ronan has school from 8-11:20 and Kieryn had a half day. For those few hours without kids I cleaned and got groceries... Typical mom stuff! When school let out at 11:55, Ronan and I picked up Kieryn and joined the Caywoods at the park for lunch.

On Thursday while Kieryn was at her first whole day of school, Ronan and I enjoyed the cool morning with a workout!

After school we painted some rocks... Fun craft for them

I worked on Friday while the kids were at school... Then on Saturday we ventured to Seneca so Steven could help my Dad shingle the garage. While the men worked, Mom and I  had time to craft... The kids were playing nicely so we took advantage! Ready or not, here comes Fall!

Great Memories

It was a cooler week so we got outside as much as we could. We spent Monday at the Manhattan Sunset Zoo in part to renew our passes, but also to have a place to run and play while seeing some fun animals!

Because we renewed our Sunset Zoo passes, we were able to get into the Topeka Zoo for free the next day! We went there with Grandpop, Grandmom, and all the Caywoods!

On Wednesday I had to work at the gym, but Steven was able to take off work and spend time with the Copp/Caywood families. They took the kids hiking (the kids brought protection against the bad guys)... they went to Anneburg Park and then bowling when it started to rain. What a fun day!!

On Thursday we had doctor's appointments and needed to run a few errands, so we didn't see the Copp/Caywoods until afternoon and evening. Then on Friday we ventured to Ft. Riley to see the museum and train park. They kids had a blast!

I wish I would have taken a picture of the kids with Sandy and Dale before they left! :( Guess we'll get to take one next time. Thanks Dale and Sandy for such a fun visit!! There were so many memories made this past week! Next Up... School Starts! Where did summer go??

Busy Wedding week!

This week was all about prepping for the wedding! I don't have any pics from the week because we were busy shopping, baking, cleaning for guests, etc. Then on Saturday the big day was finally here!! Our whole family was in the wedding. I have minimal pics because I didn't have my phone all day....More to come when I get them! Here are a few that I was able to take. Kieryn was all over the place with excitement so none are of her before the ceremony... But she loved being dressed like a princess!!

A huge giant thank you to Sandy who helped with the kids during the rehearsal dinner, wedding and the next day! We really appreciated all you did!!

The dance was a blast and the kids had a hard time leaving at nearly 10pm! What a fun day!!

After all the Saturday rain, here was my Sunday harvest from the garden!
