"I" love keeping busy!

We began this week by making honey cakes - because bees are insects. Kieryn loved watching the video of bees working to make the honey and how it was harvested by the bee keepers. Over the weekend she was able to catch an insect and inspect it before letting it go.

It wouldn't be "I" week unless we talked about ice cream!

Surprisingly, she doesn't really like it because it's too cold for her. The past two times we've eaten it, she's said, "Mommy, warm it up," while trying to hand me her bowl.

We had lots of fun with ice this week too. She played with it on several occasions. We talked about how ice is made and what happens when it gets warm. She even got to freeze some of her toys!

We had an indoor picnic with the MOMS group and Nano got to join us because it was a "Teddy Bear Picnic." It was nice to meet some new friends.

Daddy helped us make Native American Indian head dress. We watched a few videos of them dancing and then we tried some dancing of our own. Kieryn loved it. She wore her head dress several different days!

I think Kieryn's favorite ice activity was throwing it and watching it break. We did a letter/number matching game with those that broke free from the ice blocks.

Ronan thought we were being silly!

Another fun activity was ice skating on the hard woods. We watched a few videos of ice skaters and then we put some socks on and tried our own spinning moves. She was pretty good!

Ronan had his tummy time while we acted crazy!

We got out the Bumbo for Ronan, but Kieryn thought it was her new chair. We had to practice taking turns so Ronan could sit in it a few times....

H is for "happy campers!"

Story time with Daddy is becoming one of the kids' favorite morning activities. Ronan is very alert and analyzes all the pictures too!

We began the week with some simple H activities.... we wore hats each time we read our H book. We made a house and read about the different types of houses people live in.

I think playing indoor hopscotch was Kieryn's favorite!

We watched helicopters fly over our house to the Med center and we colored H pictures...but H is for happy and Kieryn was HAPPY all weekend after her visit to see Thomas the train on Saturday morning!

We went with her friend Noah who loves trains as well.

Ronan was enjoying the excitement too!

She smiled the entire time we were at the event!

Not only did we get to see the life-size Thomas, we got to take a 25 minute train ride on him. Kieryn was ecstatic!

There were lots of train toys for kids to see and play with. The lego Thomas was very impressive.

Wide awake and loving all the trains too!

Kieryn got quite a few souvenirs from the event. She wore her new Thomas shirts all weekend!

Ronan is more awake during the day and sleeping through the night (thank goodness!) He is a happy little guy and loves chatting and cooing when he's awake. We are so blessed to have two amazing children!!

H is also for Hershey Park! We took Kieryn to the park on Sunday with her friend Molly and their family. She's fighting a bit of a cold, but she still had a blast on all the rides! We are SUPER excited about having season passes!

Ronan was practicing with the letter H too when he showed how HAPPY he was about the start of the Chiefs' season!

Until next time!

ABCDEF.... G!

What a great week this was! I was fighting a bit of a cold, but other than that, we had great fun!

Kieryn got to use glue and glitter this week...

We made glitter glasses!

We found other glasses too.

Story time with Daddy, reading all those "g" books!

Couldn't resist taking this picture, Ronan was OUT COLD!

Kieryn spotted a grasshopper, so we caught him and kept him at the table when we talked about "g" things.

We also painted Grover, made a grass G, and made rubber band guitars (not shown, but very fun!)

Our little man turned 3 months last Thursday. It's really hard to believe that time can fly so quickly. He's getting super big, literally! Some of the 3-6 month clothes that I got out two weeks ago seem to be fitting a bit snug already!

We love you Snuggle Bear! You're such a precious gift!
