Summer Is So Fun!

I forgot to post this gem from last weekend. Ronan decided to get some chocolate for breakfast because he was hungry... however, because our house was super hot from our AC going out, the chocolate was like soup... Steven found him like this...

Thank goodness we got a brand new heating and cooling system on Wednesday! AND thank goodness our basement stayed cool enough for us to play in and sleep in!

We spent a lot of time at the pool and out playing in the water the first half of the week...

The power wheels has been a HUGE help! The kids have enjoyed helping me clean up some flower beds... they load up the trash and take it to the trash pile. GREAT GIFT!!

Had to snap a pic of the two kids reading together. You can barely tell, but this happened after they'd raided my jewelry box... each of their stuffed animal friends is tucked up under a necklace so that they could carry them around hands-free.

On Friday we went to the library...

Then on Saturday after lots of fun at the house, we attended our neighbor's birthday party. The two boys with their tongues out have lots of fun together as you can imagine!

There were games, crafts, trains, singing, dancing, and later... swimming! All my kids' favorites!

Because the day was so busy we skipped naps...this is what the dinner table looked like at 6pm. Kieryn was asking me if it was night time yet. :) We wore them out!

You might also be able to see out the window (of above pic) the other piece of fun we added on Saturday to the back yard! We found a fun playset for the kids. It was the first thing they played with on Sunday morning. We were out playing at 7:30am. Good find Daddy!

Trains Trains and more Trains!

This was a fun week for our kids. They got to spend a lot of time with their cousins! The kids had fun with the giant train track we put in our living room. Janell and Brad stayed with us at our house from Saturday until Wednesday afternoon until their house was ready. They have been working to get settled in their new home a few blocks away from us so we had some of their kids at various times during the day. 

 The days were hot so we took the kids to the pool nearly everyday this week. They are loving it!

We did find time to paint a bit...

And on Thursday we ventured back to Wamego for the train ride again! The kids rode almost the whole time it was open. 

Then on Thursday and Friday evenings we had supper and played at the Caywoods. We built another awesome track for the kids to chug on in their basement. Thank goodness that they were "into" their house on Thursday because our AC stopped working on Wednesday evening. It was nice to have supper and relax in a cool place! Luckily our basement is MUCH cooler than the upstairs so we've moved into the basement until our new AC unit comes next Wednesday.

We headed to Seneca for Father's Day. We attended the Schmitz reunion on my Mom's side, but not before we celebrated with Steven.

Fun Fun!!

The kids helped me wash the Kia this week. It was fun playing in the water too!

We spent a lot of time at our community pool this week! Thank goodness for that! We love it!!

 

 

Sunday was a fun day as we celebrated Ronan turning 3 years old! We were blessed to get to celebrate with the Caywood family and our neighbor friends who have two kids Kieryn and Ronan's ages. First we went and rode the train in Wamego.

Then we came back to our house to play in the water and have food/cake.

We had the bouncy house, pool, sprinkler, pretend train, and a spongeball war! So much fun!

It was really fun to celebrate with my family too!

We saved the big gift for last!

 

Time goes so quickly! He is so grown up! Happy Birthday Ronan! We love you so much!!
