Very very interesting week!

We began the week with Kieryn trying to draw the letter V all by herself. She's grown quite confident in her letter drawing abilities. They still need some work, but she can trace very well!

Then we made a "V" vase and colored it with violet markers and chalk.

The next day we talked about Valentine's Day, read some books, and hung some festive window clings. Kieryn is getting very good and sharing with Ronan and getting him involved in our activities!

That afternoon we worked on our valentines...

The next day we did some Very cray dancing/jumping with scarves.

We made a volcano and had lots of fun shredding the tissue paper!

Ronan enjoyed it too!

Kieryn got to play in the very cold snow with Daddy one afternoon!

Those two are very silly!

We made vegetable pizza and talked about the different colors of vegetables.

And we did more jumping with a letter V on the floor.

Then on Friday afternoon Ronan began coughing and running a mild fever. He had a rough night that night. We took him to the ER on Saturday afternoon because he had very bad wheezing and they decided to keep him over night for observation. After several breathing treatments, oxygen (you can see the tubes were taped to his face) and a not so fun suction of mucus from his lungs...he was wheeze free and released around 11:00am on Sunday. He was diagnosed with viral coup... NOT FUN! He's doing well as of now, trying to catch up on some rest!

Hope we can all catch up on some rest this week and feel better for the coming week!
Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers while Ronan was in the hospital!

U-tastic week!

We began U week by having an unbelievably fun time seeing the water falls and big fish at Bass Pro Shop in Harrisburg... Kieryn loves the play area there too, so we have lots of fun when we go.

That afternoon we talked about umbrella and played an umbrella game. She really enjoyed it, so we played it every day this week!

The next morning we talked about  unicorns and practiced tracing letter u. Kieryn is getting very good at tracing the letters each week.

To go along with unicorns, we made unicorn horns. Ronan even got one too. We danced, sang, and had a blast!

He thought we were being super silly!

Then on Wednesday we got a special package in the mail. Grandma and Grandpa Haug... they sent Kieryn a mixer so she can help me with the baking/cooking.

We got to use it when we made chocolate pudding for our "underground" dirt dessert. Kieryn smashed teddy grahams for the dirt...

And then put the worms on top the dirt...

She loved it! We talked about other animals that lived underground and did a fun gluing project.

Later that day I caught the two kids playing together.... Melted my heart!

Kieryn is turning into such a great big sister!

Over the weekend we had some special visitors! Grandpop, Grandmom, Uncle Kevin, and Tiana stayed with us on Saturday and Sunday. While they were here, Kieryn got her final Christmas gift from Grandpop & Grandmom. Kieryn was so excited!! We had decided to wait to give this to her to spread things out because she got so many new things over the holidays.

Grandpop and Grandmom were very kind to babysit for us as we attended Steven's department holiday dinner. It was my first time for Indian food. It was really good!

It was a great week and weekend!

Totally Terrific Week!

We began our "T" week with lots of terrific activities! We made a "T" tiger and turkey. Then we did a play dough "T", as well as a spaghetti "T" so that Ronan could play too.

We even made play dough train!

Ronan had lots of fun with the spaghetti!

It was -35 degrees on Tuesday morning and Steven's car wouldn't start so he had to take our vehicle.... no worries though, we had lots of fun "T" things to do! We used our talents to draw tall things and of course, train tracks! We played LOTS of trains on this day.

Later that day we talked about teeth and practiced brushing with some toothbrush painting!

Kieryn always ends up looking like this by the end of our paint sessions... I guess I know she's having fun!

The next day we made tambourines and discussed other instruments that begin with t. Kieryn colored/decorated while I did the hot gluing. I was pretty proud of myself as this was my own invention... no internet help! :)   They turned out pretty neat! We used pop can tabs and yarn on the outside as well as some tabs in the middle; hot glued them together. Pretty simple, and super loud!

We had a great dance party! We even made one for Daddy so he could dance when he got home!

We did train puzzles... and Ronan got in on playing puzzles too!

starting him early....  :)

That night we had tacos... and Kieryn (so picky) actually like it!

The next day we made a "T" tractor and discussed trucks and traveling. We did triangle trees and then did a triangle hunt to see what we could find in the house that was shaped as a triangle.

It was a wonderful week! And to Top it off... Ronan is 7 months old today! Time has really flown! It's hard to believe that we've been in PA now for 6 months!

We love you so much Ronan and can't imagine our family without you!
