Week to be thankful!

We took this week off to enjoy Kieryn and Ronan being out of school for the Thanksgiving holiday. We had lots of fun with friends and family, and lots of fun outside!!

On Monday morning I and Kieryn (the leaders of the 4-H outdoor adventure group) took a group of kids to Fairmont park for a hike, scavenger hunt, craft, outdoor play, and trash cleanup. We had a blast!!

The kids used what they’d collected on the scavenger hunt to either make a nature wreath or a creature story (bugs and animals made out of leaves, sticks, feathers, rocks, etc.)

On Tuesday we spent most of the day decorating for Christmas and playing outside! Tyson loved helping…

We lost a lot of teeth last week, Kieryn- 2 and one more loose, Ronan - 1 and another loose… must have been all that Halloween candy earlier in the month…

Over the weekend we did a family hike on the Mt. Mitchel prairie trails. It was windy at the top, but very beautiful!

We even had time to cheer on the Cats. The Junior Wildcats got in free to the volleyball game so we decided it would be a fun adventure!

Until next time!

Horray for H

We started our week with a hike to look at the hills… and we wore our hats!

The scenic view lookout of the Flint Hills was breathtaking!

Then we came home and had hot chocolate with some books, practiced counting and tracing!

Did a letter H craft and had fun with more hats!

On Tuesday we ventured to the vet clinic! They allowed us to pet and feed the horses! What a fun experience!! Alexis wanted to wear her bunny ears because bunnies hop and she said hop begins with H!

We did H/h matching when we got home…

Then went back outside for hopscotch and hammering!

Daddy surprised us for lunch and got to play Hungry Hungry Hippos with Alexis!

We got haircuts that afternoon and I decided to donate my 10 inches of hair! I have never done it before but it was fun knowing I contributed to making a wig for someone in need!

We had a play date on Wednesday so our lesson was brief… we talked out how we can use our hands for good and learned a hand prayer, then practiced lacing.

All the kids felt like drawing when they got home!

On Friday we practiced counting, cutting, sorting, and heart hopping!

On Saturday everyone went separate ways in the morning to have friend play dates. Alexis and her friend had a blast!!

Tyson helped Daddy.

Until next time!
