Excellent week of learning!

We began "E" week by having eggs for breakfast and constructing the letter E out of pancake strips...

Then we watched a short video about creation and how God created the Earth and everything in it. We followed this with a few matching games...

Later that day we read a book about emotions and created some faces... we played with this a few different times during the week. Kieryn liked changing the expressions!

Fun inside... Kieryn helped with Ronan's learning activity and jumping...

On Tuesday we began the morning reading about eyes...

Then we made an "eye spy" wand and played for a while. The kids liked it!

Later that morning we did E/e matching. Kieryn and Ronan fed the elephants - Edward & Elizabeth, their correct "E/e" peanuts.

Then we traced the letter E and made elephants

That afternoon we made pizza and had a pizza party picnic... nothing to do with e... just fun! We thought of the Talley family while singing our "makin mini pizza" song!

On Wednesday we began with clothespin play and matching days of creation.

That afternoon we did an envelope exercise game...first traced the letter e in the word "envelope" and then matched cards to the correct envelope. There were pictures for exercise, eating, and getting dressed. She had fun finding the "e" in all those words.

After she picked a card, she had to do a lap around the table before dropping it into the envelope...

On Thursday we did an experiment. This was Kieryn's favorite! Simple cornstarch and water to make goo! We did this two different times because she liked it so well.

Kieryn wanted to taste the cornstarch even though I strongly warned against it...

Ronan REALLY didn't like it. He cried the first time I made him touch it...

Then on Friday we did letter e sewing and tracing. It was an excellent week!

On Saturday we went to a friend's birthday party at Bounce U...Ronan got to join and loved it!

Finally on Sunday, Kieryn helped me make cupcakes and wrap a gift for Daddy's birthday. She had helped pick out the cake mix and frosting earlier in the week!

Daddy is 33 and Ronan is 16 months on the same day!

Kieryn was very good at keeping a secret about Daddy's gift!
Happy Birthday Daddy, we love you so very much!
