Wonderful week!

This was a wondrous week as we covered letter "w". We began the week with waffles for breakfast! Later we practiced tracing w and we talked about Jesus washing his disciples' feet which went along with our bible verse for the month about serving others. We used water colors to paint our picture.

Luckily the weather was nice enough for us to practice some washing too...

Which eventually turned into mud pies, mud pizza, and mud cakes... And then of course we washed ourselves to get clean after all that fun!

On Tuesday we began with a web maze...

And used wiggly worms to spell names...

We also did some paper weaving...

And cloth weaving...

We finished the lesson with a w snack.

On Wednesday we began by making some watermelon koolaid.

We traced...

Did a color wand match...

Kieryn actually sounded out the color word and matched them. She did great!

Afterwards we turned on the music for a "w" workout! We did wand waving, walking, wgiggling, AND  wrestling! So much fun!

That afternoon we visited Grandpa's shop to investigate wrenches. The kids loved it!

For supper on Wednesday we had wings and watermelon. Kieryn actually tried a wing!

On Thursday we began with our snack, walnuts and whales!

We did some tracing and whale matching...

And then we spent the rest of the day outside because the weather was amazing! We had a waterfall...

Lots of water play...

And of course, water balloons!

Here's my latest crochet project! I am working on family Easter baskets... This one was more of a trial/practice than anything but I am happy that it remotely resembles a basket!

On Friday we did "w" sound matching...

Watermelon counting and math...

We practiced cutting to make a watermelon for our game...

Then we did a well game to further work on the "w" sound.

On Saturday we visited the Copp family for a birthday dinner! Wish I woul have snapped a few pics. It was so nice to see everyone.
