Delightful Letter D!

Kieryn and Ronan had only 3 days of school this week. They were off on both Monday and Friday, so we did our letter D learning around them being home! It was perfect that Monday was the day before Daddy's birthday...

We began with drawing on a dry erase board...

Tyson had fun drawing too...

Then made Daddy some delicious cupcakes... completed with DOT sprinkles!

Then we went back to drawing...

Did some dancing... and then drew shapes and letters  by connecting dots...

finished the day with decorating for Daddy's special day!

On Tuesday we used dogs, Dalmatians, and deer for our learning...

Douglas the dog puppet decided to join our learning. We had fun doing puppet shows for a long time!

Practiced matching , colors, counting and size order using diamonds...

tried to get the dogs to pose but they were not working with Alexis... can you tell how angry she felt that they wouldn't sit next to her for a dog picture?!?

But playing doctor to our dolls and stuffed dogs made up for it and the dogs were soon forgotten. We had fun pretending!

We enjoyed watching Kieryn play volleyball this week. She has mastered her over-hand serve and we got to see it many times!

On Wednesday we read about ducks, played dominoes, and practiced counting dots on the dice... we even had fun making/playing drums. It was great to do different tempos and volumes! Both kiddos loved it!

Ronan's flag football season is quickly coming to an end. They have one more game. They posed for a team photo this week. It was a really fun season!

We visited the A&H Pumpkin Patch on Friday with some friends! We didn't do a letter D lesson, but it found it's way into our day... there were ducks and donkeys to see, John Deere tractors to ride, and even a DANGEROUSLY high slide to ride! Just kidding, but it was a blast!

We finished our letter D learning on Saturday with digging in the dirt. We read some fun dinosaur books and played with our dinosaurs both inside and out all weekend long!

It was definitely a delightful letter D week!
Until next time!
