We are officially in Kansas!!

We got home to Palmyra on Dec. 26th after celebrating Christmas with the Copp family in Maryland. We loaded up part of this mess into our Uhaul trailer before heading to bed for the last time in Palmyra, PA.

Ronan wanted to help...

We were on the road by 5:20am on Dec 27th! The kids were AWESOME! Between books, movies, electronics, and a few toys, they were troopers! We drove straight to KS only stopping for bathroom breaks and supper at an indoor play place.

We left at 5:20 am with rain and it rained nearly the whole trip! Then at 12:50am (Dec. 28- KS time) the rain changed to snow! If we'd only had rain we may have made it to my parents by about 2 am... We arrived at 3:45 am... At some points we were going 35-40mph following the road cleaning trucks. Yuck! We were just happy when we arrived safely!!

Although we didn't appreciate the snow on the drive, it made for a fun first couple of days at the grandparents! Thanks Uncle Travis for all your help on the move!!! We love you!!

Since our arrival we've been unpacking and getting settled at my parents'. On Dec. 30 (6am KS time) Steven and my brother Travis flew back to PA for the final load of our stuff. Thanks Dale and Sandy for all your help in that final stage! We love you! Poor Steven made the 21-22 hour drive for the second time at about 7:45 pm (PA time).  They arrived safely on Dec. 31 around 4:45pm and we celebrated New Years at 8:00pm...were in bed by 8:30pm. The days that followed involved a good amount of rest time. Hopefully Steven is caught up on his rest because he begins his new job at K-State tomorrow! Thanks for all your hard work Steven, we love you!! AND thank you to my parents for taking us in and helping with so much at this stage of our journey!! We love you!

HAPPY NEW YEARS TO YOU ALL! We are excited for all the new and unexpected things ahead in 2016!!
