Happy Fall & Halloween

We skipped doing an alphabet letter this week and instead spent time talking about Fall/Halloween. All of our activities involved things/aspects of the two. We began on Monday with a name activity. The kids had to find letters of their name from the tree and match them to their name on the paper. Ronan is getting very good at doing his name!

Then we sat down and practiced writing our names. Kieryn no longer needs letters to trace. She can write her name very well. She can even write Ronan's name!

After Kieryn's preschool we had some friends over for a playdate.

Then we went on a walk to find leaves for our leaf rubbings. Kieryn was much more interested in this activity than Ronan... probably because the rubbings were kind of hard to do...

On Tuesday we did bat activities. We practiced putting them in order of size, over, under, etc. Then we matched some shapes.

After watching a short video about how bats live, we made some bats to hang from our dining room light!

On Wednesday we had a picnic lunch with friends at a park!

Wednesday was a busy day so we didn't get to our lesson until after supper. It worked out ok since we were doing things with candy corn. It was just dessert to our meal! First we did some counting, a little math, and then we made a candy corn. The kids practiced tearing, gluing, and putting the colors in the correct place/order.

On Thursday we had fun with pumpkins. We did a number puzzle, traced lines, and a few worksheets to find things that were different. We talked about how pumpkins grow and later did a pumpkin memory game.

Friday was spider day! First we played a spider color game. Kids had to walk or crawl along the webbing to get to the correct color of spider.

Then we painted some magic spider pictures! The picture appeared when they kids painted on the paper. Really fun!

On Friday evening we went to Hershey Park in the Dark! The kids had so much fun!

We are really going to miss this place! So many fun memories!

Until next week...
