Just Jubilant!

"J" week was so fun! We began by talking about the birth of Jesus and read several books throughout the week about it... since Christmas is so near!

While Kieryn was at preschool, Ronan and I had plans to go to the library... but they were closed for staff training so we went to see the big dump trucks and other big equipment near the library... I think he had much more fun throwing rocks and climbing than he would have at the library anyways!

Helping Daddy work...

On Tuesday we did cutting and matching with jelly beans!

We practiced arranging biggest to smallest and smallest to biggest...

patterns...

and of course, taste testing them all! Tasting was Ronan's favorite part!

On Wednesday we did an experiment to show how Jubilant Jesus gets when we pray to him. So we used our hand prayer from "H" week and after each prayer we squirted the vinegar on the baking soda to show his excitement! Kieryn loved it! We did it twice and again when Daddy got home!

then we made a jewel J...

On Thursday we watched a video about jellyfish and then made a jellyfish in a bottle. It was neat, but short lived. Then we listened to a few jump songs and jumped on J... we practiced jumping on big vs. little J by taking turns telling each other which to jump to next!

Then on Friday we practiced sorting items that had the j sound into a jar. She did very well!

Sadly the weather is getting colder so we stayed home on Friday night for some cheap fun... the kids had a total blast!! This stayed up all weekend and was used for hours of fun!

Until next time...

We have already looked at this post several times and can't believe we haven't commented. The box slide looks like so much fun! We are sure Ronan liked the construction site!!
