Splendidly Superb!

It was fun to make Chief lunches for the big kids this week! They had a blast wearing red all week too! We are all so excited about the super bowl!



This week Alexis and I worked on letter S. There are endless activities for this letter! We had lots of fun and some I didn't even have time to do!

We started by sorting, counting, and stacking some starbursts! She liked this activity!







Then we made a new picture for her room by doing straw painting!





We had lots of letter S meals this week... this was our lunch for Monday - sloppy joes, spinach salad, strawberries, veggie straws! We also had soup, spaghetti, salmon, etc. "S" is one of my favorite letters because there's so much you can do!



Later we had fun making sugar cookies!





Alexis even helped with clean up... ironically this turned in to "splashing" instead of washing. :)



When our cookies were ready we had our snack with a "s" animal match.



That afternoon we practiced putting on socks, shoes, and a shirt...





And had a dance party with the big kids that evening... we danced to baby shark, itzy bitzy spider, put on a Smile, Mr. Sun, and other s-songs!



Tuesday was Tyreek Tuesday so I attempted a football sandwich with his number...





On Tuesday we talked about shapes and did a shape match. We then went on a hunt to see if we could find some of those shapes around the house.



Then we did a sticker letter "s".



On Wednesday we had fun playing in sand and looking at sea shells. We sorted shells by size and then counted them too. She was entertained with the sand for a long time. Very messy but such a great time!





After we cleaned up we made strawberry/banana smoothies! She'd never helped with this before, so she really had fun dumping all the ingredients in and watching them mix up!





On Thursday we used squares and stars to do a name match...





We finished our matching project by practicing with scissors.



We did more sorting and counting practice with skittles!





Then we played soccer!



On Friday we talked about seasons!



We even did an emotion and motion match... we practiced the emotion and motion with our bodies too! She liked this activity! The weather was perfect for letter S week! Later we enjoyed some swings, slides and sunshine!





Steven continues to work hard to update the house! The hall bathroom is now complete. He did such a wonderful job! Check it out!
