Letter U and The Surprise!

This week we learned about letter U! Most of the books I used had the letter u in the title and we had fun looking for the U each time before reading the book!

We began Monday's lesson talking about things that go UP! We practiced throwing a ball up, we went up the stairs and even flew a kite and looked for planes up in the sky when we played outside later that afternoon.

The most fun "up" was the experiment, making the bubbles come UP! Alexis loved this!

On Tuesday we used umbrellas in our lesson!

Not just any umbrella, a UNICORN umbrella! We twirled it, danced with it and then played a "U" tossing game with it!

We wrapped up the lesson with a shape match game.

On Tuesday night we attended a Tap class! Kieryn and cousin Jacob attended with us and had so much fun!

On Wednesday we had a brief lesson and played playdough because we had a number of errands and a doctor's appointment so our time before and after nap was limited due to having some evening activities planned...

After dinner on Wednesday we surprised Kieryn & Ronan (and Alexis) with a special scavenger hunt! It began with a letter addressed to them that came in the mail that day.

They were shocked!

There were lots of emotions that unfolded that evening about the baby, but after all that excitement, everyone was happy and super excited the next morning!

On Thursday we did a puzzle...

Talked about animals that live underwater...

And animals that live under ground!

On Friday we had a busy morning with "Morning with Mom" at the big kid's school but we managed to squeeze in some counting practice!

Later that day we visited the discovery center and went UP lots of stairs and had fun riding their elevator up and down! They even have a part of the museum that shows parts of plants that grow under ground as well as some animals/bugs that live under ground!

Over the weekend we finished sharing our fun news!

Until next time!
