Perfectly precious!

What a perfectly pleasant week! Kieryn got to help with some of our letter P activities before starting school again on Thursday. Ronan really enjoyed having Kieryn home over winter break... Next week will be our first week back to our normal schedule. It will be a rough week for Ronan!

So, we took advantage of having Kieryn and did some fun stuff...we started the week with pom- painting with purple and pink paint.

I was surprised when Ronan said he wanted to do a pattern...pink pink, purple purple...

Then we did P/p sorting with pillows...

Then we gathered all the pillows in the house and made a pile of pillows and did some pouncing!! The kids loved learning the new word pounce.

Later we had a snack and made the letter p with popcorn and pretzels.

This time Kieryn wanted to do a pattern.

On Tuesday we started the lesson by pretending with our potato heads...

We made a letter P penguin and talked about where they live, what they eat, etc. we watched the Penguins of Madagascar movie that night.

Then we did a push/pull/pick up workout. We tried different things to see the easiest way to move it... For the 10lb weight the agreed that pulling was best. Other things we tried were a toy, ball, paper plate, and comforter from their bed. We talked about whether picking up with one hand or two was easy or harder. Fun experimenting for them!

That afternoon we played play dough...

On Wednesday we did a P search, coloring princesses and pirates, and p tracing.

Then we did a number match to make a pig.

For lunch we had pancakes, peppers, and hotdog pieces.

On Thursday Kieryn went back to school so Ronan and I had a pretend and play day! We pretended with paw patrol, trains, race cars, etc! So fun! We had a p snack of peaches and penguins...

When Kieryn got home we played in the snow!

On Friday Ronan was at Janell's while I worked at the gym. They did a letter review, work on name spelling, and of course lots of playing! I did not have Micah this week because he was under the weather...

On Friday evening (and all weekend) the kids had fun with paper planes! It is amazing how fun this simple toy can be!! By Sunday both kids had 4-5 each. They liked propelling them from the top level!

Until next week...
