Incredible Fun!

We began "I" week talking about "I believe" and what we believe as followers of Jesus Christ and God the Father...
Those terms are is still a little confusing, so we simplified to God and Jesus. I incorporated things that she has been taught or being taught in Children's Church... God created the world and all things in it in 7 days.... God blessed her with a loving family... Jesus loves her no matter what... and God and Jesus give her strength to do all things!
She liked it! We talked about this a few more times during the week.

After that activity she surprised me... she began drawing the letter I without anything to trace!

While Kieryn was at school, Ronan worked on some fine motor activities...

Then after naps the kids wanted to be King and Queen, so we made an instrunment to play while "announcing" one another. We made a kazoo. They really had fun!

Afterwards we took turns doing an instrument puzzle and watching a brief video of different instruments playing. We then played some more instruments we have and danced around!

On Tuesday we began with a "I" smash game... it was an obstacle course too. Kieryn had to pick a card from the bucket. It had either "I" or "i" and she had to hit the correct letter with her ball. But first...

She had to run and jump over the Bosu, then do the hallway hopscotch....

Ronan had fun too!

That afternoon we had ice play... they both loved it!

We also experimented by putting one ice cube in hot and one in cold water to see what would happen...

Then we played pretend...

That evening we made an ice castle like Queen Elsa!

On Wednesday we did a counting game with ice cream cone scoops... We took turns saying a number for each other. Then we had to put that many scoops on the ice cream cone!

Had to do one giant one!

Then we dug out the ice castle for a bit more play!

While Kieryn was at school, Ronan played is favorite instrument!

That afternoon, Kieryn painted an ice cream cone with puff paint (glue and shaving cream). She loved it! It turned into finger painting, but was fun just the same!

That night after supper we made ice cream in a bag! Took 10 min and was surprisingly good! We'll be doing this again in the future!

Kieryn and Ronan smashed up some KitKat toppings!

YUM!

On Thursday we talked about insects. It was too cold to go outside, so we did an insect hunt in the basement after reading a few books about them.

These particular insects glowed in the dark!

On Friday we did an "I" hunt, and then went to the bath for some bean play. We brought out the insects and the kids played for a long time!

Over the weekend we spent time with the Copp family in MD. Kieryn and Ronan had so much fun with Grandpop, Grandmom, Uncle Kevin, and cousin Tiana!  I didn't take any pics, but there was dress-up, lots of singing/dancing, running outside, coloring, and pretend play. The kids really had a great time!

Until next time!

H is for Happy!!

We began this week Happy! We were happy to have had Grandmom Copp visit, happy to have Grandma Haug visit, and most of all, Kieryn was HAPPY that she now had a Queen Elsa dress. It was a surprise from Grandma and Grandpa Haug! She wore it EVERY day!

On Monday morning we talked about helping, and how we can use our hands to help family and friends.

Then we built a house...

practiced writing her name...

and that afternoon we did some real hammering outside!

and of course, some hitting!

When Ronan woke up from his nap, he did some hammering too!

And that night we had Hershey bars for dessert!

After supper we put on old clothes and did our Halloween pumpkins!

On Tuesday we did some hopping songs, followed by hallway hopscotch... sadly I didn't get to hop along with the kids...

and made some Halloween cards!

We spent the rest of the morning and part of the afternoon at ZooAmerica and Cocoa Castle park!

On Wednesday morning we gave Kieryn a Halloween surprise! It was the shoes and crown to match her Elsa dress. She got to wear them that morning to preschool for her Halloween party!

Happy Happy!

I got to stay and enjoy Kieryn's party at school! There were lots of fun activities and lots of sugar!!

Kieryn got to bring home a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch!

That day was cold and rainy, so after naps we enjoyed hot chocolate while wearing hats! We got to practice finding letters to spell "hot" and counting with marshmallows!

Ronan loved the hot chocolate!

Kieryn's hat was short lived... she wanted us to pretend that her new crown was a hat!

Thursday was Palmya's trick-or-treat night, so we did a bunch of Halloween activities that morning!

We did a Halloween hunt... they found a surprise by things that began with the "h" sound.

one was hiding up high!

That afternoon Grandma and the kids played hide & seek!

Trick-Or-Treat!

On Friday morning we practiced biggest to smallest and sorting with hearts, along with H sewing!

And that evening we went to  Hershey Park for Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Thanks again to the Grandmothers for all their help! My recovery is going well. I am slow moving and still unable to lift more than 10 lbs; or try not to :)... less pain each day, and every day feels better and better. Thank you for your prayers and concerns!
