Really Rad Week!

Alexis really had fun learning about letter R this week. Kieryn and Ronan completed week 24 of our homeschool curriculum. They will celebrate day 100 of school next week during our week 25 activities!

On Monday we began our letter R learning with rocks and practicing the "rrrr" sound!

...did a rocket puzzle...

and made a "rain drop and rain cloud" letter R.

Cold weather calls for lots of snuggles!

On Tuesday we had fun with R tracing and making a rabbit...

Our "move it" time was running... can you guess who "ran right into" her older brother... :)

We did rainbow number matching and then practiced rainbow color order.

On Wednesday we practiced "r" and found things that started with R.

We made a fun raccoon...

... played our rooster race game (number practice)...

Tyson thinks it's funny that he's ready to crawl and Mommy isn't ready for that...

For our "move it" time we did a running race with a rad ribbon wand!

On Thursday we made a red rectangle robot and then tried to find things in the house that were either red or rectangular...

Took a break to play with Tyson... he's scooting backwards so quickly...

Then we did a science experiment called "walking rainbow" and all kids enjoyed it!

Finished up the day making robots!

We had a great Valentine's Day! The kids were ready to exchange cards and surprises at 7 am! In an attempt to spread out the day's fun we saved our annual scavenger hunt for after lunch.

It was a great weekend! Great way to enjoy a COLD afternoon!
Hope your Valentine's was just as fun!!

Quite the week!

Tyson had fun helping Kieryn and Ronan organize their Pokemon cards!

Alexis learned about letter Q this week and the big kids finished week 23 of homeschool.

You better believe we watched Queen Elsa this week!

Our handwriting assignment for Monday was to write a fan mail for a Chief player! The kids loved this!

Alexis drew Patrick Mahomes a picture too!

We did a queen stamp picture...

And had fun opening our "Monday mail."

On Tuesday we had fun talking about quails...

We had towel races for our "move it" time!

Afterwards we had fun q-tip painting.

Ronan made soup for his dinner night!

The weather was gorgeous on Wednesday so the girls played in "quicksand" outside.

Tyson enjoyed his "picnic" prepared by Alexis while listening to sweet music played by his big sister! What a life!

We ventured to Wamego park for our move it time! The temperature was 54 degrees and sunny. It was so much fun! The wind was a little much for Tyson, but he slept in the carrier the whole time so it ended up working out just fine.

We started our Q lesson on Thursday with some free drawing... Alexis can draw a Q very well!

did a letter review...

Then we made a quilt...

Alexis remember that we have a quilt so she had to show me!

For our move it we did a "quarter workout." You have to spin the quarter on the floor and try to get as many reps of your exercise as you can before the quarter stops spinning. Everyone tried to get their highest number in three tries. It was really fun!

Afterwards we did an art lesson and learned how to draw football players.

We had a fun “free” Friday making signs and decorations for the super bowl! Sadly the Chiefs lost but we had fun doing super bowl bingo!

Until next time!
