Happy January!

Last Sunday evening we discovered that Alexis has grown about 3.25 inches since her last birthday!

Ronan had a dentist appointment this week to fill a cavity and he was very brave!

Alexis had a great time helping me care for Uncle Jeff and Aunt Ali's chickens this week while they were on vacation.

We started school again this week. The big kids were less than excited, but Alexis looked forward to learning about letter M.

We had fun with money on Monday morning... matching, patterns, and making M!

Although they were not happy to start school at first, we quickly fell into our pre-holiday routine and everything for the week went smoothly for all things homeschool. Kieryn said her favorite spot to read is in the sun because it's so warm... even though this sun spot is surrounded by Alexis's toy mess. :)

Later we got out the magnets...

We had fun on Tuesday with marshmallow masterpieces! It was a perfect way to use extra marshmallows that were leftover from holiday recipes! Alexis and I talked about "me" and reviewed body parts. It went together perfectly with Kieryn & Ronan's science lessons about the senses. We did a fun sensory activity in the evening to test our smell and feel senses but I don't have pictures of this.

On Wednesday we created marble runs and took time to watch a few "m" education videos.

All kids' favorite "M" activity for the week was playing PJ Masks with all of Alexis's new toys from Christmas and her birthday! We have a pretty impressive collection right now!

someone found my phone...

On Thursday we had fun tracing and playing a few "M" games... monkeys in a barrel, memory, and a mountain number puzzle.

On Friday we did a "free" Friday and spent time reviewing some things that we'd covered this week and the few weeks prior to break...just to remind ourselves of things we discussed prior to our two weeks away from school stuff. Then we watched Moana to wrap up our letter M week. It was a successful week back to school and our little home routine.

The other big thing for the week was trying to get Tyson to take a bottle. He is fighting us pretty hard... we hope to have better luck over the weekend and next week.

And masks start with “M.” These came in late but still in time to be part of M week! So much fun!

Got my helper...

Until next time...
