Letter K Week! Homeschool Rocks!

On Sunday afternoon, of last week, we dug out all the Christmas decorations! The kids had a blast decorating the tree!

Homeschool is going so well! We have settled into a rhythm and schedule that everyone feels good about!

Alexis learned about letter K this week.

We began Monday's lesson with a letter and sound review.

Then we looked at things that start with K to see if we could find what was different.

We played with keys...

and did number matching...

The kids enjoyed Frosty the Snowman on Tuesday morning before starting school... we are opening a book each morning as a countdown to Christmas.

Alexis liked it so much she read it to Toby...

On Tuesday Alexis learned about letter K animals... kittens. koloas, and kangaroos!

We also spent time learning about ways to show kindness...

On Wednesday we practiced finger tracing numbers on a king's crown...

Then we painted a picture of a kicking sport...

and had a few yummy kisses!

This girl loves her dogs!

Alexis had kiwi for fruit with her meal....

On Thursday we had fun with kites!

The most fun game was the kite game... I dropped a kite from the high banister and she tried to catch it and then match it!

When she finished, she dropped the kites for me! It was a bit too cold to fly kites outdoors so this was a great alternative!

Guess who got haircuts! Thanks Petco!!

Until next time!
