Such a Special Christmas Season!

Way, WAY back on Dec. 16th we began our week with letter S. We played play dough and then spent the afternoon packing our suitcase for our trip to Kansas to spend time with the Haug family for the holidays.

When we got to Kansas, we did lots of fun S activities - snowflake sticker s, making snowflakes, fun with straws, santa and snowman hunts, making sugar cookies and putting on  sprinkles.Grandma Haug even got into it, she got Kieryn a fun snowman for the fridge!

On that Saturday, we ventured to the Bergman Christmas - tacky sweater theme.

The kids got to see Santa. Kieryn even gave him a hug. She was so excited!

That night we opened some gifts - Steven got to watch!

And on that Sunday morning there was about 7-8 inches of SNOW! Couldn't have worked out more perfect for s week!

We opened some more gifts and relaxed. So nice to be with family!

On Christmas Eve, the kids and I flew back to Maryland and headed straight to Grandpop & Grandmom Copp's to spend a few days.

We opened more gifts on Christmas morning...

Both kids were happy to see Daddy!

And then the next few days the house was complete chaos! 5 boys + 2 girls = 6 tired adults at the end of the day!

Ronan had a Christmas Day surprise for us - He can sit on his own now!!

All the kids love trains, so we took time to visit a few exhibits and museums in the area with lots of trains!

We came home on Saturday, Dec. 28 and got settled once again. Then, we let Kieryn get her plate of goodies ready for Santa.

Our Christmas morning was 12/29, but it was fun all the same!

Santa hid Kieryn's princess castle tent by the back door...

But, the biggest surprise of all was the AMAZING train track that was set up in the basement for both Kieryn and Ronan. Santa must have put it together while watching the Wildcats get a victory that evening! GO STATE!!
Kieryn was so excited she could barely play with it. She was jumping around so much, it was great!

It has been a whirl-wind past two weeks, but it was so great to see family and friends. Thank you again to all our family for your generosity! We look forward to the New Year and all the things that come with it. Until next time!

  1. It was such a blessing to have your family spend those days with us. These pictures certainly capture those memories.
