Fantastic fun!!

Alexis had a fabulous letter F week and Kieryn and Ronan had fun completing week 10 of homeschool!

We started Monday with some reading...

Then we made a frog. Alexis had to match shapes in order to construct the frog correctly...

Then we did F/f matching using flies!

Afterwards we used our flashlights and went on a frog hunt.

Once we'd found them all we took time to practice the shapes on the frogs and match them!

We tried to find some frogs in our window wells but had no luck this time.

For our "move it" time we played flag football! The kids loved it! This was played multiple times this week!

On Tuesday we took a field trip to the farm to visit family!

We found lots of fun things on the farm...

When we got home we practiced some tracing...

And did a fruit puzzle.

The kids had a fun time looking at their Africa and Europe maps this week!

On Wednesday we had fun with fish!

The big kids finished their hieroglyphics on their papyrus paper.

Then we flung frisbees for our "move it" time!

Later we had fun pretending to catch fish!

On Thursday we read Frozen and had fun with food!

We used fruit to make funny food faces... but then it was more fun to build random things... and yummy too!

On Friday we took another field trip... we went FISHING!

We didn't catch any fish but we DID catch a frog!!

It was such a peaceful and fun trip! Everyone LOVED it, even Tyson!

Until next time...

Excellent Week!

This week Alexis learned about letter E.

On Monday we practiced some fine motor with envelopes...

We did cutting and stuffed the envelopes...

and then matching items to the correct envelope...

Alexis loved pretending to deliver her envelops too...

For PE we tried to "elevate" ourselves...

Later we had fun with "eye spy"...

And made an eye monster!

Tyson fell asleep during tummy time...

We had fun watching the Chiefs game!

On Tuesday we talked about Earth and emotions...

Before we began Alexis's lesson we actually had art time for the big kids. They created a 3D jungle as we are talking about Africa and jungle wildlife in science.

While the big kids crafted, we did Alexis's lesson.

We talked about the creation story...

We had fun making these faces to show different emotions.

All the kids had fun with this sensory box. Alexis practiced sorting big E and little e.

On Wednesday we loved digging out all our engine stuff and making a track.

We did an exercise puzzle before exercising outside ...

afterwards we made stick shapes...

On Thursday we used elephants in our lesson.

I was impressed at how well Alexis could sort E/e...

We did color matching...

cut and paste...

and tear and glue

While Alexis glued, the big kids made papyrus paper. We did this activity to go along with our history unit on Ancient Egyptians. Next week we'll use this and put hieroglyphics on it.

Sibling time after lunch! Tyson loved being around all the activity!

Love these two...

Kieryn has recently found her end of the day snuggle buddy. Maddy has climbed the stairs of the bunk bed the past 3-4 nights to give Kieryn a proper good night snuggle. So sweet!

She wants to be so big...

We did "Free Friday" so no school. It was a beautiful day so we spent it outside playing!

Until next time!
