Nifty Letter N

It was a great letter N week! We had lots of fun on Monday playing with noodles and making a noodle necklace (using a needle to thread the noodles on the string) I had a plastic crochet needle so we used that when making a necklace! I was surprised that Alexis could do it all by herself!

She was so proud of her hard work! She wore this all week!



On Tuesday we practiced tearing newspaper. We used our scraps to make a letter N!







On Wednesday Alexis enjoyed playing with foam homemade Nemo fish! We fed them letter food and we caught them in a net! We even had a few minutes to watch some of the first Nemo movie!







On Thursday we had fun tasting different nuts. We even used peanuts to make a little "n". Then we used our nose to smell spices! She thought the garlic powder was Nasty!









Friday was Donuts with Dad! Everyone was happy to have that for breakfast!!



For letter N on Friday we ventured outside into nature and our neighborhood! It was fun to find nests in the trees since there are no leaves blocking our view. I don't have any pictures because I forgot my phone. We had a great adventure!



Later we played nurse!!

On Friday night we got to see Santa at the KIN department party at K-State. Alexis got to tell Santa whether she's been naughty or nice!

This is as close as she got to him... :)



On Saturday Kieryn enjoyed some caroling for 4-H! She was in charge of delivering one of the goodie baskets too!









After caroling we enjoyed the 4-H gift exchange and party!





On Sunday night we had so much fun at our church's banquet and Kid's Christmas program



Kieryn had a speaking part... she was Moosicowity



Ronan had a singing part. He made a precious angel!



It was a great week and a wonderful way to end one week and begin the next with the reason for the season fresh in our minds!

Thankful for a restful week!

We made it outside before the weather got cold! So fun to hang with friends on Thanksgiving break! We even got Elsa hair done after getting a haircut! Wish I could do that!!

We had lots of PJ days and Alexis was so happy to have the big kids home to play! 



Kieryn and I had a double date with cousin Jacob and Aunt Janell! So fun!! Sad to return to the routine tomorrow!

Marvelous Letter M!

We had a magnificent letter M week! There's so much to do with this letter that it was hard to choose which activities to do!

We did money play on Monday. We practiced the coin names and then did counting and sorting. It was fun to play with the cash register too!

Tuesday was a fun day to do some baking!



We counted how many muffins we would be making...



Then we mixed everything up...



Got to watch them bake...



And then enjoyed a yummy snack! Kieryn and Ronan were excited that Alexis made muffins too!



Kieryn's school program/musical was Tuesday morning and evening. She did a wonderful job with her speaking and singing parts!











We even found time on Tuesday to get a "mom's workout" in at the HS stadium. The kids loved doing the workout with the moms! It was so much fun!! M is for MUSCLES!! :)







On Wednesday we read moon books and talked about the shapes of the moon that we might see in the sky. Alexis liked the crescent shape, so we cut and colored a moon to hang in the kitchen.



Then we spent a lot time playing with magnets!









On Thursday we turned on some music and did the 5 little monkey's song. Alexis remembered her Halloween costume and asked to wear it while we did jumping on the bed.



Then we reviewed our body parts in the mirror! She loved this!





This was her flexing her muscles...





On Friday we watched a mickey mouse episode and did a mickey puzzle. We found a megaphone and microphone and sang to some music!
