Fun Letter K Week!

Such a fun week!!

We started letter K week by practicing kindness. Alexis knew just what to do to take care of her stuffed animals and show them kindness. Each one had a snack, drink, and a book to read.

We had a yummy KitKat for dessert after lunch...

Then we went on a K-State Wildcat hunt...Alexis was very VERY good at finding all our many KSU things!

After her nap we did some color/number matching with keys and had fun playing with real keys!

Then we played kick ball!

On Tuesday we practiced cutting with a kiwi and then had fun making Koala hand puppets!

On Wednesday we did some kangaroo hopping to a kangaroo song on YouTube...and then we counted the baby kangaroos in the Mommy kangaroo pouch... along with making a K with Hershey kisses!

On Thursday we made a king crown and then took a field trip to see some kittens!

We even got to have lunch at the school with Kieryn and Ronan. Alexis was so excited to see cousin Gavin as well!

On Friday we did some kite activities!

It was fun to kick some leaves too!

On Friday night Kieryn and I had a date night- we went to a youth production of FROZEN! We left Daddy, Ronan, Alexis and Toby home to watch football!

It was fun for Kieryn to see some of her friends in the play!

We had a blast!

On Saturday Kieryn had fun at a birthday party...

And then we headed to Seneca for another Haug family wedding, my cousin Dustin. The kids had a great time seeing Grandma and Grandpa Haug!

Until Next Time!

Joyful Letter J & Halloween Fun!

I had fun this week making the big kids Halloween lunches! Monday was bat-tastic...

Alexis and I had a fun letter J week! We started on Monday with Jewels, Jewelry and Jam!

Fun practice with jewel shapes...

Alexis loved the jewelry and dressing all her stuffed animals and babies with it...

Good practice spreading jam....yummy snack!

Tuesday's spooky lunch had a ghost theme...

On Tuesday we did some jumping, jiggling, and jogging! Toby joined in too! It was good J/j practice to say and then jump on either big J or little j...

On Tuesday evening we made our jack-o-lanterns!

On Wednesday's lunch was booo-licious...

For letter J we took time to read and talk about Jesus. Later we put on jeans and practiced zipping a jacket...

Later we did color matching with jelly beans... we even practiced big/little...

Thursday's Halloween day lunch was super spooky...

On Thursday we made a jelly fish and played in jello!

Great name practice...

Alexis loved helping make jello! While it was cooling we played trains. After reading the jet engine book she was asking to build a track...

Jello is not her favorite snack...

I was in charge of bringing fruit to our Halloween pizza party on Thursday night before trick-or-treating...

Fun group for trick-or-treating...

Alexis loved getting candy too!

We had a busy day on Friday so our lesson was short. We read this jungle book more than once. It is a super fun pop-up book!

Then we pretended to make our own story with things that begin with J. It was a jungle story, with a jeep, jack rabbits, and jaguars. Surprisingly Alexis caught on quickly and had fun moving the pieces around to tell more of the story. Great activity for the imagination!

Toby turned 2 years old on Sunday! Happy Birthday Toby, we love you! He loved his new bone and KC bandanna!

Alexis wanted to take a picture with Toby by herself...

Until next time!
