She has so much energy!

Kieryn loves stickers! She found the sticker stash one morning and decided to decorate her outfit...

She was pretty proud of what she'd done. You can see her play area in the back ground... We had a ramp for her train (my cutting board) and we were having "sensory play" with oatmeal in the pans. Busy morning! :)

Sadly, the weather wasn't the warmest over spring break here in Manhattan... so we had lots of dance/jumping sessions with the couch cushions.

Kieryn decided to dress up to make dancing more fun....

 I am 27 weeks pregnant! Can't wait to meet the little guy! He's been kicking lots lately!

Warmer weather... is it here to stay??

Early last week, we attended the KSU Men's Basketball pep ralley. Kieryn loved it and she waited very patiently to see her favorite person on the team... Willie! She pointed him out even from our high seats and a very dim Octogon of Doom! We were impressed!

 

She was so happy to get to give him a high-five and a hug! Look at that true future Wildcat excitement! Steven and I were proud!

 We were able to go to the park two days last week. The weather was BEAUTIFUL, 70 & 80 degrees!! Sadly it was short lived as the next few days were in the 50s, but we made the most of our warm days!

 On one of the not so warm days, we ventured to PetCo. She really enjoys pushing her cart around and filling it with things from the shelf. Her favorite to look at are the fish.

 Kieryn is also having lots of fun with a basketball these days. It got left in our yard for nearly a week, so Kieryn has claimed it as her own. She loves pushing it and then racing past it to see if she can "beat" her roll. We play it up and down our sidewalk; great game to burn energy! We took her to the Union so she'd have even more room to run. She had a blast!

Slower Week

This week was a bit slower pace as Kieryn was not 100%. She'd gotten sick on Sunday and it wasn't until Wednesday night/Thursday that she was back to her high-energy self.

On Saturday, Kieryn had a lot of fun at the "Messy March" event that our health department puts on for kids. They had lots of fun things that you wouldn't normally do at home because most were pretty messy! She got to finger paint (which was more like hand/arm/stomach paint) on a huge table, play in tubs of cake batter, experiment with goop/gak, bury toys in tubs full of corn meal...and... do sticky feet. This was her favorite, I think because it was not as messy as some things. There were long strips of sticky paper that the kids could run and jump on.

She got to make a necklace and bracelet too!

The spaghetti table was her other favorite activity ...

Easter is on the way!

We spent some time on Saturday puting up the Easter decorations. Kieryn really liked helping with the window clings. She discovered that they stick to the dryer as well. Using her step stool, she enjoys transferring them from the dryer to window and back again.

On Friday night, we surprised Daddy with a study care package! He's going to spend a lot of time in March preparing for his final dissertation (in April) and we wanted to make sure that his study time is quality!

 We had a lot of fun this week. Kieryn is getting so big and is understanding more and more each day. She's even saying more words! She loves dress-up, playing catch while dressed up, and playing with her baby!

Snow Day!

Kieryn had lots of fun watching the snow fall. She was amazed at how much there was and REALLY wanted to go out and play in it... but it was a little to chilli for that.

We had to have fun indoors... and boy did we ever!

Her favorite thing right now is turning our living room into a jungle gym. She LOVES jumping onto the pile of pillows. 

On Sunday we ventured to the Women's basketball game. It was Kieryn's first game and she was just amazed with everything!

Kieryn had so much fun making her Valentine's this year! She worked very hard with paint, crayon, marker, and stickers to tell all the special people in her life how much she loves them!

We surprised Daddy on Valentine's Day with a card and a new mug for his desk at work!

And a delicious breakfast!

He surprised Mommy with flowers and a pregnancy massage... just what I need!

And Mommy & Daddy surprised Kieryn with stickers, stamps and a few new books. She loves them!

Our craft for this week was to make some additions to our musical instruments. We did bell bracelets and a necklace out of pipe cleaners. Kieryn loves dancing in the morning with them. 

I even did one for baby #2... the white one is made from yarn for easy grabbing.

On Sunday we ventured to Seneca for a bridal shower and to spend time with the grandparents. Grandpa and Kieryn were having fun with her train... or "cho cho" as she calls it. She always loves seeing the animals.

Just over the half way hump... 22 weeks...18 more to go, can't wait to meet our little guy!

We love you baby #2!
