Ooooh the fun!

We began letter O with matching owls. We had a somewhat sour orange for snack... And made an owl.

On Tuesday we played with balls that were a similar shape to letter o.

We traced O, watched a 3 min video about octopus and then made one!

We counted with O cereal.

On Wednesday we painted O...

And did practiced opposites! Ronan know quite a few. I was surprised!!

On Friday we played in oatmeal...

Found what was different...

Traced...

And worked on long and short sounds...

We went back to Seneca for the Haug Christmas on Sunday then enjoyed the kids' Christmas program at church that evening. They did great!

Nifty Nifty Week!

We had a great week with letter N! We started the week with N/n sorting using a nest and eggs. We talked about what animals live in nests and did some tracing.

Then we did some sewing with a pretend needle.

On Tuesday we used nets to fish out corks with either a big N or little on them. The boys had to sort them.

We did a shape review...

Sorted and counted some nuts...

Taste testing...

Then the boys picked a favorite shape and used nuts to make the shape.

We finished by coloring Nemo. We watched part of the movie after naps.

On Tuesday we attended Steven's department Christmas party. Kieryn was excited to see Santa... Ronan not so much...

Finished up some Christmas gifts that my mom is giving this year!

On Wednesday we saved the lesson to do with Kieryn... We traced and then pretended to be Ninjas!

On Thursday the boys played with noodles at Janell's. They counted, sorted, and made an N!

We had a play date on Friday and didn't get out lesson in but I think the play time with friends and then cousins later that evening was just as important! 

The kids got to have a movie night at Janell's while we attended another Christmas party for Steven's work. So fun to have all our friends back at KState!

Marvelous week!

We had a magnificent "m" week! We started off with tracing M and playing no more monkeys jumping on the bed...

We colored an M picture with markers...

Then we played in some macaroni!

The macaroni was still a hit on Tuesday when Micah joined us for preschool...

We made a marshmallow M...

Sang two nursery rhymes about mice...hickory dickory dock and three blind mice....afterwards we practiced tracing a 3...

And made a M mouse!

On Wednesday we began with a mountain number puzzle...

We sorted colors and counted using M&Ms...

And then we made yummy pumpkin muffins!

Later we dug out the magnets.

Ronan made a city with the magnets and cones while I made lunch...

On Thursday at Aunt Janell's the boys had a blast with maracas...

They practiced cutting out mittens...

Did the 5 little monkeys song...

Then they used Legos to build machines.

On Friday Kieryn and Daddy enjoyed a morning breakfast date at school... It was Donuts with Dad! Kieryn was so excited!

Ronan and I got out the money and played, did matching, looked at the difference, and did a pattern.

On Saturday we made some delicious sugar cookies! Tis the season!!
