Naughty or Nice?!?

This week was letter "N". We began the week with our letter book and quick video/song. Then we practiced tracing and made a name necklace!

On Monday after Kieryn was finished at school we went with friends to Bass Pro for the last time. It was a treat because Bass Pro had free visits with Santa! There were fish, a carousel, and  lots of kid friendly games.

On Tuesday we practiced counting to nine and tracing. We then painted a picture of the North Pole! We talked about being naughty or nice and watched a Nemo clip later that day.

On Wednesday we made shape ninjas and nunchucks! We counted ninjas and watched a video of some nunchuck tricks and then the kids tried. They had a blast with this one!

That afternoon we practiced catching different things in our net.

On Thursday we practiced tracing and then played with newspaper. We tore it and glued the letter n, we then we played a game trying to catch it on different body parts.

Did some packing on Thursday and the kids wanted to "help". They call the boxes their boats.

On Friday we practiced tracing and then making letter N and shapes out of noodles. After shapes we played pretend with the noodles. This was their favorite!

The weather was super nice on Thursday and Friday. We luckily got to make one last visit to the zoo and CoCoa Castle park with friends on either day. We are really going to miss these places!

Until next week...14 days until we load the trailer and drive to KS!

Many Marvelous Memories!

On Sunday evening we spent time decorating for Christmas. It was an excellent way for us to also pack up the remaining decorations on the main level without too many tears from Kieryn. She is having some moments of sadness to see all her things being boxed up... so we're trying to do it when she's distracted with other things.

On Monday we began letter M week. We watched a video about monkeys, did monkeys jumping on the bed and tracing.

That afternoon we made muffins!

On Tuesday we practiced tracing, watched Mickey and Minnie Mouse and played with macaroni. That night we had mac and cheese for supper!

On Wednesday we made and painted our salt dough ornaments. The kids loved it. That afternoon we talked about Moses and made a burning bush to recall our story.

That evening we made our annual gingerbread house. This is sometimes harder than it should be because our kids don't really want to put the candy on the house...

On Thursday we sang three blind mice, traced a 3, and practiced shapes with a motorcycle.

Then we made Christmas cookies and candy!

That evening we played a mouth game. We had to roll a dice, count the dots, and pull that many teeth from the mouth. Kids like it a lot!

On Friday we talked about money. We played, poured, and practiced some patterns.

Over the weekend we did a color sorting game with M & Ms

Hope you had a great week too!

Moving Update: We plan to have our house 90% packed by Dec. 18th. We will be in Virginia over that weekend (18/19) with the Hamlin Family Christmas (SO EXCITED TO SEE THEM!) Then we will return on 20th and have until 23rd to finish everything. We'll spend the 24-26th in Gaithersburg, MD with Steven's family for Christmas. We plan to load the trailer and begin our 2 day drive to Kansas on Dec. 27th. SO, 21 days and counting! WOW, time goes so fast!!
