H is for "happy campers!"

Story time with Daddy is becoming one of the kids' favorite morning activities. Ronan is very alert and analyzes all the pictures too!

We began the week with some simple H activities.... we wore hats each time we read our H book. We made a house and read about the different types of houses people live in.

I think playing indoor hopscotch was Kieryn's favorite!

We watched helicopters fly over our house to the Med center and we colored H pictures...but H is for happy and Kieryn was HAPPY all weekend after her visit to see Thomas the train on Saturday morning!

We went with her friend Noah who loves trains as well.

Ronan was enjoying the excitement too!

She smiled the entire time we were at the event!

Not only did we get to see the life-size Thomas, we got to take a 25 minute train ride on him. Kieryn was ecstatic!

There were lots of train toys for kids to see and play with. The lego Thomas was very impressive.

Wide awake and loving all the trains too!

Kieryn got quite a few souvenirs from the event. She wore her new Thomas shirts all weekend!

Ronan is more awake during the day and sleeping through the night (thank goodness!) He is a happy little guy and loves chatting and cooing when he's awake. We are so blessed to have two amazing children!!

H is also for Hershey Park! We took Kieryn to the park on Sunday with her friend Molly and their family. She's fighting a bit of a cold, but she still had a blast on all the rides! We are SUPER excited about having season passes!

Ronan was practicing with the letter H too when he showed how HAPPY he was about the start of the Chiefs' season!

Until next time!

ABCDEF.... G!

What a great week this was! I was fighting a bit of a cold, but other than that, we had great fun!

Kieryn got to use glue and glitter this week...

We made glitter glasses!

We found other glasses too.

Story time with Daddy, reading all those "g" books!

Couldn't resist taking this picture, Ronan was OUT COLD!

Kieryn spotted a grasshopper, so we caught him and kept him at the table when we talked about "g" things.

We also painted Grover, made a grass G, and made rubber band guitars (not shown, but very fun!)

Our little man turned 3 months last Thursday. It's really hard to believe that time can fly so quickly. He's getting super big, literally! Some of the 3-6 month clothes that I got out two weeks ago seem to be fitting a bit snug already!

We love you Snuggle Bear! You're such a precious gift!

"F" is for FUN!

Our guy is a morning person! He's super smiley and happy-go-lucky, we are so blessed!

We began this "F" week with some delicious French toast. Kieryn got to help prepare it and loved every minute of it!

We did finger puppets...

flag finding (we raced to match up the flags)...I used flags of states/countries where family & friends live (KS, MD, PA, Brazil,US, and Idaho). She had more fun waving them during her dance parties than racing to match them, but she did it a few times. :)

We talked about fire and got to see the Palmyra fire trucks...

Driving the truck was Kieryn's favorite part!

We did some "F" games...

and some fly swatter painting...

flashlight spotting (we ask her where something is and she points to it with the light)...

This was a very FUN week! Kieryn is really enjoyed all the activities we did!

and Ronan just worked on getting "pumped up" for the Wildcat football game!  GO WILDCATS!

Until next time...

Getting Closer

Kieryn and Ronan have been getting closer and closer these past few weeks. Kieryn loves bouncing him (gently) in the bouncer and singing rock-a-bye baby. She also enjoys holding him and helping to bring me diapers when he needs changed! On this particular occasion, he smiled and laughed at her while she was holding him. She thought that was pretty special!

Brother-Sister Bonding Time!

This week was "e" week. We worked a lot with elephants and engines.

I think playing with the sidewalk chalk and engines was Kieryn's favorite. Two neighbor girls came over and played for an hour and a half as well. They had a blast!

We also did a lot with Elmo and Ernie this week since she enjoys Sesame Street.

 "E" is also for EXCITED...
This was the first time we'd done gymnastics since moving here. As we were walking back to the room, Kieryn said (no joke), "I'm so excited!"while prancing on her tip-toes. The lady walking us back to the room started laughing hysterically.

Ronan got to stretch out a bit too since no other children were there this time.

Kieryn enjoyed ice cream with her friend Molly this week! They have a lot of fun together (most of the time) :) Since they are both two years old, there are moments of crying and not sharing too!

On Friday night we ventured to the pool for one of our last visits of the season. It was a bit chilly, but that didn't stop Kieryn. She had a blast!

Ronan watched (and slept) from the pool deck.

Although the Cats didn't win their season opener, we wore our purple proudly all day on Friday. The kids were very excited (especially Kieryn) to wear their Wildcat!
