WE HAVE A 5 yr OLD!!

Last week went fast... We did parks, pool, dentist appointments, and lots of outside play. The biggest part of last week was when Kieryn turned 5 yrs old on Saturday! We made the day as fun as possible since we are having her party on July 21st. We moved it back so that the Caywoods and Grandmom could join! We did all of her favorite things....

First we went to Varsity Donuts for the pink donut with sprinkles!

Then city park and splash park...

After a nap we opened one gift...

Then of course we went swimming to try them out. She loves them!!

Afterwards we ate at her favorite restaurant...

And then finished gifts and had dessert with the Uncles!

Now Kieryn and Ronan's babies have special homemade blankies!

It's hard to believe that she is 5yrs old! Happy birthday Kieryn! We love you to the moon and back!!

Having Fun in the Sun!

The first thing the kids did when they woke up on Monday morning was make trains using these baskets... this photo was BEFORE 7:00am!

Monday and Tuesday were hot so we were at the pool for most of those days...

Kieryn has improved so much in the water! I am attempting to post a video... let's see if it works!

On Wednesday we visited city park and had fun in the sand...

Then we changed and went to the splash park!

On Thursday we went with our neighbors to the Wamego park...

We played on our new playset on Friday and Saturday! Fun family time in the backyard!

And then on Sunday we had family over for a BBQ and fireworks! Uncle Jeff did a great job monitoring who got which firework!

The favorite firework were the parachutes! The kids really had fun chasing them!

Super Dad even got one of the parachutes that got stuck in a tree...

On Monday we had a relaxing morning and got to have breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa who spent the night. That afternoon we went exploring at Tuttle Creek and enjoyed a picnic supper at Observation Point! The kids had a lot of fun!

Summer Is So Fun!

I forgot to post this gem from last weekend. Ronan decided to get some chocolate for breakfast because he was hungry... however, because our house was super hot from our AC going out, the chocolate was like soup... Steven found him like this...

Thank goodness we got a brand new heating and cooling system on Wednesday! AND thank goodness our basement stayed cool enough for us to play in and sleep in!

We spent a lot of time at the pool and out playing in the water the first half of the week...

The power wheels has been a HUGE help! The kids have enjoyed helping me clean up some flower beds... they load up the trash and take it to the trash pile. GREAT GIFT!!

Had to snap a pic of the two kids reading together. You can barely tell, but this happened after they'd raided my jewelry box... each of their stuffed animal friends is tucked up under a necklace so that they could carry them around hands-free.

On Friday we went to the library...

Then on Saturday after lots of fun at the house, we attended our neighbor's birthday party. The two boys with their tongues out have lots of fun together as you can imagine!

There were games, crafts, trains, singing, dancing, and later... swimming! All my kids' favorites!

Because the day was so busy we skipped naps...this is what the dinner table looked like at 6pm. Kieryn was asking me if it was night time yet. :) We wore them out!

You might also be able to see out the window (of above pic) the other piece of fun we added on Saturday to the back yard! We found a fun playset for the kids. It was the first thing they played with on Sunday morning. We were out playing at 7:30am. Good find Daddy!
