Can't believe this weather!

Although the three of us were sick Friday thru Sunday with head colds, we still managed to make it outside on Sunday to enjoy the 60 degree weather. Kieryn enjoyed helping Daddy wash the Kia!

Kieryn was practicing wearing her sunglasses so she "likes" them by the time we go to the beach! We can't wait to see Steven's family in June! :)

It was nice to get outside for awhile!

Our Little Water Bug!

Now that Kieryn is 7 1/2 months old, we thought it would be fun to bring her to the indoor pool on campus to see if she'd like it. I was worried that she would not and planned to spend only 5-10 minutes in the water... but BOY WAS I WRONG! She loved it and we were splashing around for almost 30 minutes. Steven and I felt bad leaving because she was having so much fun! I even put her under water once and she didn't cry! I'm super excited for the pool this summer now, she's going to have a blast!

I could barely hang on to Kieryn because she was so excited to get in the water. She almost jumped out of my arms!!

She loved swimming with both Steven and I. She kicked her feet, splashed her arms, and didn't mind being on her back. We were shocked!

Next step... floating on her back and jumping in from the side! :) Just kidding, she's growing too fast!!

We had such a blast... we'll probably do it again soon!

It was a fun week last week, as we celebrated our first Valentine's Day with Kieryn. I did not have class that night, so we had quality family floor time and a heart shaped pepperoni pizza. There was some chocolate too.... it was a blast (and much needed)!

One other fun thing we did last week was build a "fort"... it only lasted about 20 minutes since Kieryn wasn't very interested. She had more fun taking it down than playing under it.
:o) She was more interested in her "healthy cooking pot"! She loves chewing on the plastic peas, broccoli, corn, and tomato.

On Friday, Kieryn and I traveled to Topeka for a lunch with my friend Heather. Kieryn loved walking around the mall.... Watch out Steven, I think she's going to be a shopper!

Winter Weather

Kieryn has enjoyed her first "real" snow TWICE now. Steven took her out last night for a walk while I taught my Monday night class...then I brought her out this morning. The snow was beautiful with the morning sun shining on it! Kieryn tried making her first snow angel, but since some of the snow melted yesterday, it was no longer soft enough. :)

She tried crawling, but her snow suit is a bit difficult to move in...

Cold or hot, she LOVES being outside!

Baby Go-Getter

Kieryn got a new toy over the weekend. It is a music-playing learning table. This allows her to practice "walking" around the table to play with different buttons and such. She's pretty much mastered pulling herself up on the edge of the couch and the ottoman...now it's on to bigger and better things! She loves it! We still can't believe that at just 7 months and 4 days old she is doing all of this!

Grandpa & Grandma Haug came to Manhattan on Sunday for a visit. They brought some Valentine's Day treats too! Kieryn loves her new books!

The grandparents were amazed at how active Kieryn was and how quickly she was getting into things!

We had a great weekend! Looking forward to all the surprising things Kieryn will do this week!

7 Months Old!

Kieryn is 7 months old tomorrow! I wanted to update the blog a bit early as I have a busy day tomorrow. Our little baby is growing up so quickly!! It seems like yesterday I was updating the blog with pregnancy pics... time has REALLY flown!! As I mentioned in my last post, Kieryn can now sit up on her own. She's not only crawling all over the house, she also loves standing next to things to practice using her legs. I tried again to load some videos from our new computer, but they just won't work...sorry to all those who were anxiously awaiting them.

For the past month, Kieryn and I have been going to a Monday morning playgroup. We have met lots of other babies, most of which are about 9+ months, but she keeps up pretty well. Every Tuesday, I feel like she's doing something new, which I attribute to her playing and learning from the babies at playgroup.

There are lots of fun things for her to look at, play with, and do.

It's great interaction with other infants...even if most are twice her size.

We have a lot of fun every time we go!

Growing Girl!

We've had beautiful weather here in Manhattan the past week or two. Kieryn has enjoyed lots of walks and playing in the leaves in the back yard. If you notice, she's able to sit up on her own now!

Also, over this past week, she's really become a climber. She likes to climb on her bouncer, her exersaucer, and just about anything, or should I say anyone, in her path.

We're sure she'll be walking soon... she loves using her legs to stand next to the ottoman and the couches. One thing is for sure, she's going to be a little "go-getter"! :)

Grandpop's Visit!

Kieryn was so excited to meet Grandpop Copp last weekend! They got lots of play and snuggle time. It was so great that he was able to make a trip to Kansas to visit us!

Steven and Kieryn have been having a lot of fun in the evenings while I'm teaching. One particular night, Steven wore her out on a "learning tour" of the house. She just fell asleep in the Bjorn. So cute!!

They've also been working on "hat on/ hat off". I joined in the fun one evening when I got home from teaching fitness swimming. It was priceless to walk in and see her big smile because we were matching with our hats on! :)

WEEKEND FUN!!

It was a wonderful weekend as Kieryn was finally able to meet her two cousins Chase & Jacob, along with her Aunt Janell and Uncle Brad! They were visiting from North Carolina and stayed with us for 1 1/2 days! The kids got along great!

Kieryn and Jacob had a lot of playtime together. They're only about a month apart (Jacob 7 1/2 months), but their size is very different!

Steven played a lot with Chase. It brought out the "big kid" in him!

On Sunday we were able to visit family in Auburn. Chase and Steven got to see all the animals.

How precious!!

Janell is currently Kieryn's only Aunt! The two of them had fun snuggling over the weekend!

Baby Update!

This may be the longest I've gone without updating our blog in 6 months! :) Sorry to all the followers. It's been hectic as we celebrated Uncle Travis's 21st birthday last weekend (Grandma Haug has all the pictures of that) and the K-State school semester began this past week... which means teaching and class prep has started for me. I didn't take too many pictures this past week as I find myself recording more videos now that Kieryn is mobile. Sadly, I can not get the videos to load to our blog or I would...believe me I've tried so many times! Good news... we're getting a new computer soon, so stay tuned, videos may be on the way! YEAH!!

Kieryn is able to crawl with ease now. This is a picture of her baby "play pen" in the living room. Until she figures out how to get over the pillows, this works great! Notice the spatula... she loves that thing, it's crazy how the simple things are their favorite toys!

Kieryn had her 6 month doctor's appointment on Thursday and got a A++ report! She is now 25 in. long and weighs 14 lbs., 6 oz. She's gaining weight and is a bit ahead of the game in developmental milestones with her crawling.

We are very excited for the upcoming weekend. Kieryn gets to meet her Aunt Janell, Uncle Brad, and cousins Chase, & Jacob for the first time. They are visiting from North Carolina. We can't wait to see how the kids interact!

It's Kieryn's Half Birthday!

Kieryn is 6 Months Old!
WOW, we can't believe that our little baby is growing up so quickly! It's an understatement to say that these past 6 months have flown by. WHERE DID THE TIME GO? We have enjoyed every minute and are so blessed to have such a beautiful daughter!

Kieryn is still not crawling, but is VERY close. She is up on all fours and moving her left arm forward... still having trouble with the right arm... so she's falling forward instead of crawling. Surprisingly, with this method, she can get to things she wants pretty quick!

It's getting more difficult to use the cute blocks in her monthly pictures... she just wants to put everything in her mouth. Not sure how this will work when she's actually able to crawl... :)

Kieryn, you are our pride and joy! We love you so much!!

Hope your week is off to a good start! Steven & I will be preparing for the school semester to begin. We have one more full week before we're back to our busy schedules!

We enjoyed watching the Kats twice this week... both basketball and football. Sadly the football team couldn't pull off the Cotton Bowl victory, but we always cheer hard either way!

We finally managed to get a picture of Kieryn's two front teeth! The first broke the gum mid-December and the other on Dec. 26th... she ALMOST had her two front teeth for Christmas! They haven't been tall enough to get a good picture...but they are now...You can also see that her hair is getting longer as she now has crazy hair in the mornings. :)

This week has been so beautiful outside! We've really been enjoying the new jogging stroller! And Kieryn always loves the chance to go outdoors.

Kieryn loves it! It must be a smooth ride... :)

We are excited for one more full week of relaxing before K-State classes begin again.

The week between Christmas and New Years was spent relaxing and enjoying some family time... with a bit of cleaning and organizing before the start of the new year. Steven and Kieryn did the playing while Mom did the cleaning. It worked out perfect and it feels so good to be organized!

It was great Daddy-Daughter bonding time!

NEW YEAR'S EVE

We had a few couples over on New Years Eve. Steven and I weren't sure we'd be awake until midnight, but the card games got pretty competitive and we rang in the new year with our good friends Daniel and Lu!

We kept Kieryn up until 9:30pm...way past her normal bed time in hopes that she would sleep in a bit later on New Year's Day. She was up at about 6am... which is much better than 4am! :)

She wanted to partake in the celebration too...oh dear!

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
It was a busy week last week, but we enjoyed every minute of it with family and friends. We began the week just relaxing and packing for our four day vacation to Seneca. It's crazy how much we had to pack for such a small person!

Kieryn was preparing for the holiday with the "Charlie Brown Christmas" DVD. I was surprised that she contently watched the whole thing! :)

Uncle Jeff was in town from Florida for two weeks, so he came to Manhattan for a visit before the holiday. He and Kieryn had so much fun. Jeff even taught her how to use his iPhone... she knows how to slide her fingers across the screen!

We enjoyed opening our first round of gifts from Steven's family. They were so generous!

Grandpop & Grandmom Copp knew just what we needed! Too bad there wasn't much snow for Kieryn to use her new hat and mittens!

The Aunt Janell, Uncle Brad, and cousins Chase & Jacob gave Kieryn her first beach towel. This will come in handy this summer for our trip to the East coast! She also received an adorable pink Redskins onesie and bib from Uncle Kevin & Cousin Tianna!

Before we left for Seneca, our friends, Carrie & Ryan stopped by with a Christmas surprise for Kieryn! It was a letter "K" with ribbons to hang all of Kieryn's bows! It was VERY creative!

COPP FAMILY CHRISTMAS!
Before heading out for the holiday, we celebrated our own Copp family Christmas! This was "Santa" on "Copp Christmas Eve"- wrapping gifts for our good little girl!

When Kieryn woke up, we showed her all the gifts under the tree! She didn't really understand yet... but we had fun arranging it all! :)

The big gift that Steven & I gave one another was an exercise bike. We love it!

With each gift, Kieryn was a little more interested in opening things and messing with the wrapping paper. At first, all she wanted to do was put it in her mouth!

Her first gift was a mini lap top, so she can work on it while Mommy & Daddy work on theirs!

She was very excited about her princess "ride-on" toy. She won't really enjoy this until summer!

Mr. & Mrs. Baker (Maryland friends) sent us an adorable gift too! Now that Kieryn is teething, she loves this rattle set!

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Back on the farm for Christmas...

Because it was so warm outside, we took Kieryn out to see what little snow there was.

We also showed her the cows...

I think her favorite animals were the baby Boston terriers. They were just her size!

On Christmas Eve Eve, we had some family friends over to celebrate the holiday. My good friend Ashley had a Christmas gift for Kieryn. She gave some adorable headbands and bows!

BERGMAN CHRISTMAS
Last Saturday, we enjoyed a day of family and wonderful food as we celebrated the Bergman Family Christmas. Surprisingly, Kieryn loved all the people and had no problems being passed around. I think she liked the excitement!

No nap for her... she was just taking it all in... we joked that she was patiently awaiting Santa's arrival.

Then on Sunday, we had the Haug Family Christmas. Again, lots of people and wonderful food. Kieryn was wide awake again and loving all the attention!

Now that I've mailed and distributed all our Christmas cards, I can post more of Kieryn's Christmas photo shoot. She had so much fun playing with the Christmas props... made for some really great pictures!

5 Months Old!

Kieryn is moving more and more... she's our little scooter. She tends to scoot backwards instead of forwards, but has been practicing rocking on all fours. I put her on the floor in the middle of the KSU blanket below... and a few minutes later, she was in the hallway. She's getting quick!

We bundled up yesterday and ventured over to the Broxterman's to cheer on the Kats despite the rain and the cold. The weather didn't bother Kieryn, as she stayed warm and dry in her carrier.

She was very pleased that the Kats were able to pull off another victory! GO STATE!!

Later that night, we had some family time. Kieryn had her first experience with the Copp family gingerbread house, a tradition Steven and I began while we were dating. Kieryn was very helpful!

I thought this week deserved two updates because this week especially Steven and I feel like Kieryn is getting sooo BIG! She's up on all fours now, rocking away...won't be long now before she's crawling!! She's very interactive and so much fun!

We continue to work on solids... still just one or two times a day.

She's hitting the books early!

What a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
We ventured home to Seneca to celebrate the holiday. We were thankful for safe travel, our health and that of our family and friends, as well as some lounge time!

Kieryn had fun getting dressed up for Thanksgiving lunch.

She even joined in on some of the feast... we gave her a taste of mashed potatoes.

She was unsure about the potatoes, so we finished with some peaches.

She played with her new musical piano. After only a few minutes of watching, she knew how to strike the keys to make noise! She had lots of fun with it.

Grandma figured out how to get Kieryn to laugh hard. It was so cute!

Later that day, Kieryn and Grandma were looking through the Black Friday ads to find all the good deals.

Kieryn is going to love shopping soon... watch out Daddy, better hide your wallet!!

Grandpa enjoyed reading Kieryn one of my favorite books as a kid... The Owl and the Pussycat.

Kieryn loved helping turn the pages!

On Saturday, we helped Grandma put up her Christmas tree. Uncle Jeff helped Kieryn hang some ornaments.

She is getting so big!!

The KSU Christmas decor is up already at the Copp house. We decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving. It was tough waiting until after Thanksgiving to turn on all my lights... I love Christmas time!

Steven and I are also taking up a new hobby... putting together a puzzle! We're attempting a 750 piece puzzle before we try a 1000+ puzzle. We're having fun with it... I was surprised how addicting it is.

Lots to do for the upcoming holiday season...until next time...

Healthy Baby!

We had our 4 month doctor's appointment yesterday and Kieryn earned an A+!
She now weighs 12 pounds, 12 ounces, and is 23.75 inches long.
She is growing right on schedule and her developmental progress is great!

Kieryn loves this bumbo! She is able to sit up and see everything that is going on. Yesterday we went outside to enjoy the leaves. This was before her doctor's appointment... I wanted to do something fun with her before she had her shots... YUCK! She did super though, barely cried. It was way tougher on Mom than baby!

She loves being outside!!

Baby Update!

We began introducing solid foods last week, when Kieryn turned 4 months. I only offer it for two feedings and Kieryn isn't eating more than a baby spoonful each time. I started with some avocado/banana. It sounds like a funny combo, but the avocado tones down the tartness of the banana. I can't really say that she likes it... but she's not screaming when I feed it to her. On Wednesday, I plan to introduce peaches! YUMMY!!

She is still figuring out how to work the food around in her mouth to swallow it. The first couple of bites are still a shock! :)

I couldn't resist taking this picture... Kieryn loves Zoey the Zebra so much. While changing her outfit or diaper, she still reaches for Zoey and gives her a big hug!

Last Sunday, we ventured to Seneca for an afternoon of catching up with cousins and FOOTBALL. We were able to visit with both the Steinlage & Sunnenburg families all at once (Stacey & Ronda, my cousins)! We wanted to take pictures of our four kids together... but they were taking their naps at different times.

Kieryn & Daddy are sooooo cute together! They love watching football!

Can't wait to see what fun things Kieryn will do next week! :)

92 Days Old!

Wow, Time Flies!!
Kieryn is getting so big! Each of these past 92 days has been a blessing! We are anxious for her 4 month doctor's appointment next week to see just how much she weighs...we're guessing between 13 and 14 pounds!

At four months, Kieryn loves looking at herself in the mirror and enjoys her "soft" books. One of her favorite things to do is have someone hold her above either Mrs. Bumble or her ball while she works with her hands to pick the object up. She is getting very good at it!

Kieryn looks forward to helping Mommy do some holiday baking!

We'll be serving up lots of adorable this Thanksgiving, with a side of sweetie-pie!

We can't get enough of your smiles and baby noises! We love you so very much Kieryn!!

Fun Weekend!

Kieryn continues to practice her rolling and squirming... she is now moving quite a bit in her crib during nap time and during the night. I couldn't resist taking this picture when she was struggling to get her legs unstuck... the "sweetie" on the buttocks made the picture all the more adorable!

Kieryn is also learning how to play poker as she and the guys played a few hands during halftime of the KSU game on Saturday. She was getting good at picking up the poker chips by the end.

She wasn't very good at keeping Daddy's excellent hand a secret...her poker face will need a bit more work...

With Daddy's help, she will be a good little poker player someday! Look out family game night!

Introducing the latest member of Kieryn's play animal collection: "Ella the Elephant." She loves it! She'll hug it and chew on it while rolling with it!

She is getting stronger with her arms too... she holds her head higher and is now pushing herself backwards on hard surfaces.

Happy Halloween from the Flintstones!
We went to a Halloween party on Saturday night and had so much fun! Our little "Pebbles" was a hit! I was excited because our costumes turned out GREAT... I hand-sewed them!

We got to do some trick-or-treating in Seneca this weekend too!

KIERYN ROLLED OVER!
This may be old news to some of the family, but I couldn't help but document the momentous event on our blog! Kieryn rolled over for the first time last Monday morning. That first time took about 3-4 minutes as she had to learn to move her arm from underneath of her after rolling. Now she rolls almost instantly once she's placed on the floor. She was pretty proud of herself after she did it the first time! All smiles!! Great work sweetie!!

She was excited to see Zoey the zebra after turning over! Love you Kieryn!

Kieryn's Baptism
Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011

She had a simple white baptism gown. I decided against all the lace and frill. It was beautiful on her, perfect for the day (chilly morning)!

The item that made this gown so special was the crucifix that hung in the front. It was a gift from Auntie Lu. This cross was hers when she was little, and she wanted Kieryn to have it for her baptism. We were so honored! Kieryn loved it!

The congregation honored us and the godparents at the beginning of the 8am mass by calling us to the front of church. They spoke briefly about Kieryn's baptism and what that meant for us as parents and for the godparents. It was so wonderful!

Kieryn loved the baptism ceremony that followed mass. She was wide awake and interested in being as involved as possible. She was reaching for our booklet and smiling at those watching her.

Kieryn did great, no crying during the blessing or afterwards! She smiled at Fr. Joe while he was singing. She was a sweetheart!

My brother, Jeff is Kieryn's godfather and Steven's sister, Janell, is her godmother. Janell was unable to attend, so I asked my cousin Stacey to "proxy" for her. We were so thankful and honored that she and her family could celebrate with us!

We loved having Stacey, Cody, and their daughter McKenzie up for a visit!

UNCLE LOVE!

Lu and Daniel joined us for lunch too. We were happy that they could help us celebrate Kieryn's special day!

Steven and I would like to thank everyone who helped us celebrate this special day in Kieryn's life. We love you all and appreciate your support as well as the generous gifts for Kieryn on her baptism.

KSU vs KU TAILGATE!! GO KATS!!

We had so much fun on Saturday with our KSU tailgate. We got started at 8:30am, making bacon, eggs, and muffins. Then a little before game time, we grilled gourmet burgers (eggs, bacon, cheeses, and chipolte mayo)! Lots of people, lots of food, and lots of cheering for KSU! We had sooooo much food!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVEN!

Steven turned 30 last Wednesday so Kieryn and I decided to surprise him with a birthday party on Friday! We had lots of guest and good food AND Steven had no idea!! We had his favorite, tater-tot casserole along with fresh salad, pasta salad, rolls, and of course, birthday cake!

Kieryn and Uncle Travis were anxiously awaiting Steven's arrival!

Kieryn and Tava were making faces and blowing bubbles at one another. It was super cute!!

Lu made an amazing cake for the party. It was layered inside with chocolate cake, vanilla cake, and moose! It was DELICIOUS! Thanks so much Lu!

As we waited for Steven to get home, Kieryn fell asleep! All the excitement wore her out before the big "surprise" moment!

Steven had no idea, but said that he recognized some of the cars as he was walking up to the house and knew that something was up. He came through the door with a big grin on his face!

"SURPRISE!!"

We had so much fun planning the party for Daddy!
(Later Kieryn was wide awake and babbling lots, she just needed a power nap!)

The 3 month photo shoot started off a lot like the previous post... Kieryn was very sleepy! It was so much easier to pose her... but they weren't near as cute as the pictures she's awake in! We can't believe she's already 3 months old!!

Kieryn turned 12 weeks old yesterday! We can't believe that time has gone by so quickly!

She has become quite good at scooting... no rolling yet, but soon!

Last week, Steven and I purchased a 2012 Kia Sorento! Steven gets all of the credit because he's been looking at vehicles for some time now. It was his extensive research that settled us on the Kia Sorento. It's perfect for our growing family! We knew we wanted to upgrade, but didn't know when... and last week seemed like the perfect time! The exact vehicle we wanted was available at a price we considered to be reasonable... so we did it!
OUR FIRST BIG PURCHASE TOGETHER!

We ended up getting the vehicle from the Kia dealership in Omaha... above is the picture of Steven finalizing the purchase over the phone. We went down today to pick up the vehicle and do the paperwork! WOW there was a lot... we got there at 10 am and left at 2pm!!

It's an amazing vehicle with all the bells and whistles... remote start, rear view camera, blue tooth capabilities, third row seating, satellite radio, and my favorite - heated front seats!!

After leaving the dealership, Steven wanted to show that his wallet was VERY empty! :)
The Kia is totally worth it!

One neat fact - this vehicle had 110 miles on it when we left the dealership!

You can't really see it here... but the interior is black. Lots of space and sparkly clean!

We love our new Kia! Don't worry, the car seat fits, we checked!

We are so grateful for the many blessings we have in our lives that led us to purchasing this new vehicle. We LOVE it!

Kieryn is very close to rolling from her back to her tummy!! She has been very active on her play mat too! She is reaching and tugging on the rings!

This weekend was the first time she enjoyed the musical attachment to her bouncer!

She smiled, cooed, and reached for the swinging monkey below! Is was so amazing to see her trying to figure it out!

KSU vs Kent State - 2nd Copp Tailgate

The Copp family was decked out in game day attire and ready for a KSU victory!

It was a wonderful day to be outside and around the fire-pit! Kieryn didn't like getting bundled up... but with the help of her pacifier, she quickly calmed down and enjoyed being outdoors. She's still getting used to wearing hats...

Worn out after a fun tailgate... She slept from 9:30 pm to 5 am, WOW was Mommy happy!!

Roy, the puppy, is our latest addition to tummy time! Kieryn will lay for 10-15 minutes chatting away! He barks, whimpers, and plays music. She loves it!

Kieryn got to see Grandma & Grandpa Haug a lot this weekend....Kieryn and Mommy ventured to Seneca on Friday for some garage sales. Grandma and I found lots of baby bargains while Grandpa babysat!

Then on Sunday, the grandparents and Uncle Travis stopped by for lunch!

Kieryn and Grandma had a long conversation! Both were full of smiles!

After such a busy weekend, Kieryn crashed while I folded clothes. It was adorable!

Doc Appointment

We had the 2 month check-up yesterday and Kieryn is growing!
She is now 10 lbs & 8 oz. and 23 in long! She has been wearing her 0-3 month clothing with no problem and continues to be a good eater!

This was a tough day for Mommy because Kieryn received her first round of shots. She got three in her legs, OUCH! She did great though! There was an initial scream from shock but once she calmed down she just went to sleep! When she woke up, she was in a pretty good mood... thank you infant Tylenol! I had to document the battle wounds...

Took those shots like a champ! She's gonna be a strong one!

Our Baby Girl is 2 Months Old!!
The time continues to FLY by! We can't believe that Kieryn is already 9 weeks old!

Just in the last few days she's found her hand... she's been attempting to fit the whole fist into her mouth.

We don't know her length and weight at 2 months yet, but we have our 2 month doctor's appointment on Monday!

She is now having very productive tummy time. She loves to coo at Miss Bumble and her friend the rabbit while lifting her head to look at them. She's very close to rolling over from her back to her stomach!

She was in a very good mood for this photo shoot, so I got some of her smiling. The only sad thing is that her arms were front of her face on most of them, so you're only seeing half of her smile's potential in these.

We're so excited when she talks and coos. She does it more regularly and we're sure that it's because we're talking to her... not gas! FINALLY!!

One Sleepy Baby!
We have had a busy past few days... Auburn on Monday, back to classes on Tuesday, and visiting Kieryn's new friend Lakyn last night! It's just worn Kieryn out... as you will see below! She's been sooooo sleepy! I hope that means she is growing...

It's tough being a baby!

Kieryn even got to visit Daddy's lab for the first time over the weekend! She was SUPER excited. :)

We visited one of my best friends, Sheila, and her family to meet their new baby Lakyn. At only 3 weeks old, she is about as long as Kieryn and weighs about 8 lbs. She's sooo precious!

Steven & Ross were like proud papas showing off their cute daughters! It was adorable!

Sheila & Ross's oldest son, Bronx, took a liking to Kieryn ... we think (hope) they'll get married someday in the future!

Sheila and I joked that they'll be BFF's like we were in high school... it was like looking at ourselves as babies! :)

Our first Copp family tailgate!

Steven, Kieryn, and I enjoyed a relaxing Saturday afternoon while preparing for the Wildcat season opener against E. Kentucky.

We prepared our usual game day spread... grilled steaks and queso. We even threw in some jalepeno poppers for an appetizer! It was a fun family tailgate!

Kieryn was all smiles when we put her in her KSU attire!

She was cooing so much that we were sure that she was practicing the fight song and her "go state".

She was excited for the game to begin!!

We received a special gift in the mail yesterday! Our good friends from Maryland, Brian & Michelle, mailed Kieryn some Maryland gear! Steven & I love it! There's a cute onesie too, but it's a 6-9 month, so it will be just in time for basketball season!

Although it was difficult for me to put Kieryn in something RED, I let it slide since there was a Terps logo on the front. She looked so cute!

Kieryn was thankful for the gifts! Now she can show her spirit for the Maryland Terps too!!

Already 7 Weeks Old!

It's hard to believe that our precious Kieryn has already been here for seven weeks! She is growing so fast and boy are we enjoying every minute with her!
We think she's enjoying us too... hopefully we're not spoiling her toooooo much already!

We kept her awake a long time one night last week... just playing and have a great time... she was so exhausted that she crashed, sprawled out on Steven! It was super adorable!

Last Friday morning we took her to the fitness center to meet the morning crowd. She loved it, was calm and very content the whole time. We joked that she was so wide awake because she recognized the sounds of the gym since I went every morning while pregnant! When we weighed her on the scale there (my weight + hers) she weighed 10.5 lbs! YIPPIE!!

Over the weekend, we had a wonderful time with Grandma Haug. Kieryn got snuggle with her and talk to her while having some productive tummy time. She's beginning to coo a lot. I LOVE IT!!

She's getting stronger for sure!

Best of all, she is beginning to flash us her smile every now and then. We now think that she's smiling because she wants to... and not because of gas. YEAH, we're so happy!

We are also preparing for the upcoming K-State tailgate season. Kieryn is so excited for the game next weekend! She was trying on her new tailgate gear in anticipation! GO KATS!!

Kieryn is excited about the start of the school semester. She gets to spend the days with Mommy while Daddy researches and teaches... then she hangs with Daddy three nights a week while Mommy teaches! What the life!

Kieryn is beginning to make more faces... some at Mommy and Daddy...some at random objects. We have so much fun just sitting and watching her.

For instance, this excited/surprised face was at a closed door. Sometimes we wish we knew what she was really seeing and thinking!

The beautiful rosary Kieryn is wearing was a gift from one of my clients. It's a handmade ladder rosary. The beads are a pretty lavender, perfect for a future Wildcat! :)

At the Driving Range...

This was actually Kieryn's second trip to the driving range! It was just her and Daddy the first time, but this time Mommy got to come... with the camera! Steven and I had fun hitting balls while Kieryn slept in her stroller.

She was asleep most of the time... covered to protect from the bugs...

But when she woke up she was not such a happy camper. I couldn't help but uncover her to get a few pictures of her faces.

We think she was upset that she couldn't hit a golf ball...

But who knows what was going through her head. There are just too many good captions I could put with this picture! It is my favorite... makes me laugh every time!

KIERYN IS 1 MONTH OLD!!
It's hard to believe that one month ago yesterday our baby girl was being born! This past month has FLOWN by, but has been a wonderful blessing. We love our baby more and more each day!

At one month, Kieryn is beginning to follow objects! She has enjoyed laying in her crib and watching the mobile a few times. Last night we read her some story books and it was the first time she sat content on our laps and looked at the pages with curiosity!

It's crazy that she has nearly out grown all her newborn clothes! I have plans to put our the 0-3 month outfits over the weekend. It's sad that this may be one of the last times she wears these cute little outfits... but a at the same time, it's GREAT to know that she is growing!

Kieryn had many faces to tell Mommy that she was not enjoying the 1 month old photo shoot as much as Mommy was! :) But Mommy managed to get some cute pictures anyways!

Kieryn and "tummy time"... she just falls asleep instead of getting upset and expending energy to lift her head. Now she strengthens her neck muscles when we take her outside. She loves looking up at the trees!

4 Weeks Old!

We had our 1 month doctor's appointment on Friday and BOY is Kieryn growing!!
She now weighs 8 lbs (up from 6 lbs, 2 oz at birth) and is 20.75 inches (up from 19 inches)!

As she gets bigger and the start of school approaches, she is getting more and MORE excited for the upcoming KSU football season... she has been trying on her game day outfits!

At four weeks old, tummy and back time are going a lot better now that Kieryn is beginning to track objects and focus on her toys! Steven and I LOVE watching these developments! Rolling over is not too far away! We are hoping for a genuine smile at Mommy and Daddy soon!

Kieryn's favorite toy is Zoey, the musical zebra, that Uncle Jeff gave her. She is beginning to make noises at it and reach for it while we change her diaper. It's a wonderful distraction! Thanks Uncle Jeff!

Even though she is having some GREAT awake time at four weeks old, she still sleeps A LOT! It's really tough to wake her up sometimes... she's just too cute!

We look forward to month two and all the developmental changes it brings! We love you Kieryn!!

Yep, we did it! We gave into the pacifier at 22 days old... YIKES! I guess it's better than Kieryn becoming a thumb sucker!

Mommy is getting better at using the camera... thanks to Lu, I'm discovering that it has some really neat features which can change background colors!

Kieryn gets bored with Mommy taking so many pictures...

Tummy time isn't always the most productive... especially when we have Miss Bumble as a distraction!

It was a wonderful week while Grandmom Copp was visiting!

She & Kieryn really enjoyed their play time together!

Although it's been VERY hot, the four of us enjoyed a few morning walks around the neighborhood. Steven liked wearing the baby bjorn... Kieryn is still a bit small for it, but it worked great!

Last Sunday, we made a trip to Auburn so Kieryn could meet the Copp family! She had so much fun with everyone... and I'm pretty sure they had fun cuddling her too!

It was great seeing everyone! Great Grandmom & Great Granddad even got to cuddle their sixth great grand-child!

It was a fun but hectic day. Steven, Kieryn, & I spent some time on the couch unwinding that evening. Kieryn was confused as to why she had to share "Daddy cuddle time" with Mommy...

I think Daddy loved the cuddle time with both of his girls!

2 Weeks Old Tomorrow! :)

Yesterday Daddy got to give Kieryn her first bottle! Mommy returned to personal training on Tuesday/Thursday mornings, so Daddy & Kieryn will have some extra bonding time! Everything went well and Kieryn's belly was full after wards; good work Daddy!

Grandmom Copp is visiting from Maryland! She has been a huge help around the house and with Kieryn! Thanks so much for all that you've done!!

Grandma Haug & Grandmom Copp BOTH got to spoil Kieryn on Thursday evening. After dinner, they took turns cuddling and snuggling her... Kieryn didn't mind one bit! She got tired of all the flashes in her eyes from Mommy's camera! :)

Happy 2 Year Anniversary TO US!

We celebrated our 2 year anniversary with our new baby girl and had a relaxing evening at home. Having Kieryn to help us celebrate made the day even more special!!

We enjoyed our "traditional" meat/cheese/cracker/veggies/fruit spread with a movie. Way more food than the two of us could handle, but totally worth it! YUM, YUM!!

It's hard to believe that we've already been married 2 years!

What a GREAT week!

We had a wonderful doctor's appointment yesterday! KIERYN IS GROWING!
She has grown 1/2 inch in length, now 19.5 inches and has gained 3 ounces, now weighing 6 lbs, 5 ounces!

I had a feeling that she'd grown since coming home from the hospital...when I put her in the car seat to go to the doctor's office, I had to adjust everything just to get it buckled!

We had more visitors last night! My good friend Carissa, her husband Kelly, and their daughter Wrigly stopped by to meet Kieryn!

Bath #2 went MUCH smoother! Probably because we were faster so she didn't get as cold, and we had a little bigger space to wash her in... we used the tub instead of the sink this time. WAY BETTER, not near as much crying!

Today was Kieryns first day of bootcamp! She accompanied Mommy to take measurements for the last day. Everyone loved her outfit!

It was a fun morning having her with me... she slept the whole time, so the shirt was perfect!

Daddy and Kieryn are loving their hang out time. She especially loves being bundled and sleeping on Daddy's chest... our little Eskimo!

FUN AT THE COPP'S

July 14th, it's 3:00am and Kieryn was cuddled up on Daddy's chest to enjoy the first day of the British Open. She didn't seem too enthused this year, but we're sure her interest will grow over time since she's a big time Daddy's girl!

Today marked the first year of this new family tradition. This time next year, Daddy hopes that Kieryn will be practicing her swing in the living room and picking up golf skills from the pros while watching the British Open. :)

Meet Our Miracle!

One unbelievable experience!
We were scheduled to be induced on Sunday, July 10th, but our baby was too excited to meet us and thankfully had other plans! My contractions began on Friday afternoon and progressed into the evening. At 3:30 am, I told Steven that it was time to go to the hospital. Upon arrival, we found that I was 4 cm dilated! I was proud to have made it that far with all the back labor I was experiencing. By 5:45 am, I decided that it was time to have an epidural despite my earlier ideas of a natural birth. The combination of back labor pain and contractions that were 2 minutes apart since 5:30pm on Friday just became too much! At 6:15 am, when they administered the epidural, I was 7 cm and the doctor explained that my labor would most likely progress quickly due to the epidural because I was finally able to relax. As promised, by 8:25am, we began pushing to meet our baby! In just over an hour, at 9:31am, our little bundle arrived!

Steven and I were in shock at our amazing little girl... and about how much hair she had!

Steven was very excited to share our news with Grandmom & Grandpop Copp!

She was so wide awake after delivery, which gave Steven and I extra time to bond with her!

Later that day, Steven got to change the first dirty diaper. He's become quite the pro since then!

Grandma & Grandpa Haug were ready and anxiously awaiting the baby news! They were extremely excited to meet Kieryn!

Uncle Travis was excited to hold a 3 hour old Kieryn too!

Everything was normal and healthy with Mom and baby, so we got to go home within 24 hours.

Kieryn fell asleep on her first car ride. It was super cute!

Yesterday we gave Kieryn her first bath. It was quite the learning experience for us and sadly, it was a devastating experience for Kieryn. She did not enjoy it at all!
This picture was us reassuring her that we love her even though we had to give her the cruel bath. :)

She hated the bath, but she loved the cuddle time that followed. She was wide awake after that experience and cute as ever!

Baby Copp's Due Date!

BABY TIME!!
Sadly, no Baby Copp yet... but we celebrated our baby's due date by hitting golf balls at the driving range. All three of us enjoyed it! Baby Copp was kicking like crazy while I was trying to hit. I think we have a mini golfer on our hands! :) Daddy already loves this!

My swing wasn't perfect, but I could still hit the ball!

It's hard to believe that this will be the final blog post of me and the belly... the next time I post it will be WITH our little bundle!!

Wonderful Holiday Weekend

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
No baby Copp yet, but we're 3 days away from our due date!

We celebrated the holiday by relaxing at home and grilling some delicious pork chops for dinner. Dessert was good 'ol fashion smores... which we made indoors because it was SO HOT outside!

They were YUMMY!!
We ended the evening with a nice long walk. We walked around the hospital where we're going to deliver in hopes to speed up Baby Copp's arrival!
We'll see if it helps... fingers crossed!

39 Weeks - TIME FOR BABY COPP!!

Garage Sale Weekend!

Over last weekend, we took part in a 7-Family garage sale! It was fun putting it on, but a lot of work! Since this was our 3rd garage sale together, the four wives had developed a good system, so everything flowed smoothly!

It was also nice to earn some extra baby money before Little Copp arrives! :)

We started out with a two-car garage FULL of stuff to sell!

The four of us- Kala, Carrie, Lu, and I spent Thursday night organizing stuff onto tables and pricing items. It took about 2 hours...and it was HOT outside!

We ended up with about seven- 8ft tables of clothes, accessories, kitchen stuff, office stuff, books, household decor, furniture, and MORE! We were hoping for a BIG crowd on Friday & Saturday!

The guys even helped by posting the garage sale online! Instead of organizing though, they hit "practice" golf balls in the back yard to keep entertained!

Friday afternoon was successful, so we decided to have a delicious breakfast on Saturday morning to start the last day of the sale off right!

It was quite the spread!

Carl made pancakes; blueberry and chocolate chip!

YUMMY!

We also had scrambled eggs, bagels, and OJ!

It was a good start to a successful garage sale!

Each couple was able to get rid of some junk while making a little cash!

Garage sales are exhausting... we all went home after cleaning up and took naps! :)

Steven and I were even able to pick out some really cute baby clothes from one of Kala's family members. She sent about 4 garbage bags to sale! :)

Just 10 days until our due date!

Final Prep Steps

With so few days remaining until Baby Copp is to arrive, we decided to get the car seat installed... just in case! :) I think the excitement of Steven's sister having her second baby, Jacob, last Saturday made us even more anxious!

Steven made sure that the car seat was in securely. However, we still took it to the fire station for a free check to ensure that everything was installed correctly and was safe for Baby Copp!

It's hard to believe that in a few weeks, we'll be bringing our baby home in that car seat!

36 Weeks Pregnant and still loving it!

Baby Copp is still very active! There are lots of kicks and punches throughout the day. We found out last week that the baby is head down, so we were very happy about that. We have another doctor's appointment tomorrow and can't wait!

Daddy Copp is looking forward to his first Father's day too! We plan to relax and enjoy a steak lunch with uncle Travis, and Grandma & Grandpa Haug. :)

Baby Room Ready!!

We are ready to welcome Baby Copp... now we wait! :)
Only 30 days left until July 7th!

We left an open spot above the crib because Steven and I plan to paint wooden letters and hang them that spell out baby Copp's name. This will be the first "family project" when we arrive home from the hospital! ;)

We love the jungle theme! The green and black really look sharp!

One of my favorite items is the monkey clothes hamper. It's sooo cute!

The big Noah's Arc picture is a cross-stitch picture that my mom did and gave to me as a high school graduation gift. I collected a lot of that stuff during high school. I thought that all it would mesh well with the animals in the room! It looks great!

35 Weeks Pregnant... Baby Copp is still growing like crazy!

It's getting warmer in Manhattan... hopefully the heat won't make me too miserable! I look a bit sun-kissed in these pictures! :)

One AMAZING Road Trip!

Vacation to Denver, CO

It's not a road trip unless car trouble occurs... we're just lucky that it happened very early in our trip!!

We took a 2.5 hr break in Hays, KS to change out all of Ryan & Carrie's break pads. They were completely shot, and everyone was grateful that we caught it before getting into the mountains!

It was a group effort from all four guys to change the break pads. Luckily they were able to accomplish this with success... it saved a lot of time and money!

Steven was loving this because he was able to learn how to change the break pads too!

Although we were a few hours delayed, we made it to Colorado!! After an exhausting day of traveling, we ate dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Denver and called it a night early.

Our first day of vacation was a full of driving again, but this time we had a lot better scenery to look at! We followed the Peak-to-Peak scenic drive, as well as drove through Rocky Mountain National Park! It was so beautiful!!

We stopped in a a few of the mountain towns along the way to admire the old buildings and small shops. They had great views of mountains!

It was neat to experience the temperature changes as we drove along. There were beautiful areas to stop and take pictures along the way too!

We stopped in a park area for lunch and had a picnic!

Lu was too busy making friends with the squirrels to eat her lunch. She was lucky enough to have one eat right out of her hand!

Later, Lu's new friend decided to help himself to our food while we climbed some rocks to see the mountain view...

BUSTED!

After lunch, we made our way to Rocky Mountain National Park in hopes to see some mountain wildlife!

We stopped at Bear Lake because it had about five feet of snow on the ground!

The only wildlife we saw while in the park were female elk and a few squirrels, but on our way home, we spotted two male elk with incredible antlers! We drove closer to get a better look!

Can you imagine having that in your front lawn??

The next day we ventured to Boulder for some shopping and more site-seeing.

We were often distracted by all the things going on in the streets...

We got to see some magic...

And an amazing street drummer! He was Steven's favorite!

For lunch we enjoyed Italian and a beautiful mountain view! It was great!

Our final day was spent shopping at some outlet stores. Steven and I found an adorable froggie bath robe and couldn't resist, so we bought it! That means EVERYONE found something they liked or needed! :) It was a fun afternoon!

It's hard to believe that I was 34 weeks pregnant and as high as 12,000 ft in the Colorado mountains! Baby Copp loved it - kicking and moving a lot. Several of our friends got to feel the movement too! This made them all even more excited to meet our little bundle!

Only 35 days left until our due date!

44 Days Left to Go!

BABY SHOWER BACK HOME!
Along with a wedding and a dual graduation party, Steven and I were back home for our baby shower last weekend. It was busy, but boy was it a blast!!

Grandma Haug surprised us with a SUPER cute diaper cake! I don't know if I'll ever be able to take it apart to use the diapers. It might just become decoration in the baby room! :)

My shower was put on by my best friends, Sheila, Carissa, Ashley, & Stacey (cousin too). They did such a wonderful job with food, game, and decor. It was an adorable jungle theme with delicious snacks and some AMAZING punch!

I was excited to wear a dress that showed off my growing belly!

Baby Copp and I are so blessed to have such generous family and friends!

We received several of our big registry items and tons of smaller functional gifts. All of these will be helpful as we take the final steps to prepare for our little bundle!

We also received lots of CUTE clothes! I can't wait to see Baby Copp in some of the items!

My Mom surprised me with a box of MY old baby clothes! She said she'd kept them because they were her favorites! There were little dresses, jackets, hats, sandals, my flower girl dress, and my first baby food spoon. She fit a lot in that small box!

Although my Mom didn't mean for this to be an emotional gift, it made me cry. Darn these hormones! It was such a neat gift that I cried excited and "touched" tears of joy!!

I can't wait until my friend Ashley gets pregnant. It's totally her turn next! :)

Manhattan Slows Down, But the Copps Are Picking Up Speed!

CONGRATS DADDY!

Baby Copp is VERY proud to announce that Steven (Daddy) discovered yesterday that he has been awarded funding for his American Heart Associaion fellowship! He turned in his application back in January and we've been eagerly awaiting this news! Receiving this funding is a great accomplishment and blessing for him and our growing family!! This fellowship is an opportunity for Steven to continue research in Manhattan until he has chosen a post-doc location! We celebrated the good news with a dinner at Willie's & some time with friends! Cheers to Daddy!!

Mommy(Me) and Baby spent last week in Georgia and South Carolina for Uncle Jeff's graduation celebration (CONGRATS ON THE MASTER'S). It was a nice vacation with family with shopping and beach time! While I was away, Steven not only finished his "war on spiders" work, he also completed a special project for Baby Copp...

Before I left on vacation, I found a used dresser/changer for sale in Manhattan. It had some bumps and scratches, but it was sturdy and in good condition... so we bought it!

When we bought the dresser/changer it was all black. Steven worked hard to power-sand out all the scratches and then he painted it black with green drawers to match the baby room! I was so surprised and excited that he finished it while we were away!!

The dresser is amazing, GOOD WORK DADDY! It was bigger than we expected, but with a little rearranging, we will make it fit in Baby Copp's room.

While on vacation, Baby Copp was very active for Grandma & Grandpa Haug, as well as for Uncle Jeff & Uncle Travis! The family really enjoyed feeling the baby move around! I feel like Baby Copp grew A LOT while on vacation!

I can't believe that we're only about 8 weeks (50 days) from our due date! May is almost over and June is going to FLY by! Get ready Mommy & Daddy... Baby Copp will be here before we know it!!

Baby Copp Is Getting BIG!

It must be "baby season"! Last weekend, Steven and I caught a glimpse of a baby hawk perched in one of our front yard trees! ... baby robins, baby hawks, but NO baby spiders, thanks to Daddy!

Speaking of babies, Baby Copp is growing rapidly! We're now 57 days away from our due date!

It's funny...many of my t-shirts are not fitting any more. My belly had grown so far outward that the bottom hangs away from my body! :)

We got another gold star from the doctor on Monday. Baby Copp's heart beat is strong and the doctor reported that growth is wonderful! We visit the doctor again in just two short weeks. We will begin seeing the doctor weekly in June. Wow, time has really flown!

31 Week Fetal Developments: The baby's reproductive system is continuing to develop. The lungs are more developed, but not fully mature. Baby measures about 16 inches long and about 3.3 lbs. Baby continues to accumulate fat underneath the skin and can turn his/her head from side to side.

32 Week Fetal Developments: Lanugo, the layer of soft downy hair that has grown on the baby's skin is beginning to fall off. The baby has become more crowded in the womb so decreased activity may be detected. Baby Copp now weighs about 4 lbs!

WAR ON SPIDERS!

Steven has been very busy the past few weekends preparing the house for our soon arriving bundle of joy!
We had LOTS of spiders last spring and fall, so he's attempting proactive measures. Since he's taken these steps, we've seen only ONE small spider in the house!!
Baby Copp is super proud of Daddy!

Steven has sprayed the perimeter with Ortho Home Defense! One spray is supposed to last up to 12 months, but he's not taking any chances, he plans to spray once a week until this container is gone! Of course, he doesn't spray while Mommy is around. :)

We have two ultra sonic transmitters in the house. We read online that their high pitched frequency is supposed to deter mice and brown recluse spiders from sticking around.

We also have about 15 glue traps set up throughout the house. These are for the pesky spiders who aren't killed by the spray. I believe there are about 3-4 in each room... we're taking no chances! :)

Steven hung two bird feeders outside the house in hopes to attract more birds. We hope the more birds we have, the more spiders they will eat! We've already seen a few birds on them!

Steven is also working to caulk around the outsides of all the windows. We discovered that there were many cracks and holes/spaces that were spider friendly. He's not too worried about making this look pretty... he just wants to keep those darn spiders OUT!

The biggest task of all was cleaning up our side yard. This area was over grown with weeds and brush, a perfect for home for spiders. Steven said that when he began clearing it out, that spiders were scattering everywhere! Once it was cleared out, he sprayed that area like crazy! :)

Keep all fingers crossed that these things do the trick for a spider-free home for Baby Copp! Only 65 days until we get to meet our precious!

Easter Weekend

It was a wonderful Easter weekend as we celebrated with family! We were in Seneca on Saturday and then traveled to Auburn on Sunday. There was lots of baby talk! :)

We put up our first bird feeder over the weekend too! This is an additional step in our attempt to decrease the amount of spiders in our house before Baby Copp arrives!

Spring is in the air at the Copp house... not only are we expecting a little one, but our friendly Robin is nesting on three bright blue eggs! We joke that it's something about our house...

29 Weeks Pregnant!

28 Weeks Pregnant

Third Trimester - HOME STRETCH

Baby Copp continues to grow bigger each day. He/She has been kicking with joy since Steven returned home from his trip to D.C.

We also had a excellent report from the doctor at our visit last Thursday.
We heard the heart beat again, it was very exciting!

It's hard to believe that we're already 28 weeks along!
Only 80 more days until we meet our precious baby!

28 Week Fetal Developments - Baby Copp is about 10 inches, crown to rump; for a total of 15 3/4 inches. He/She is almost 2.5 lbs and will gain nearly 1/2 pound each week after week 30! His/Her eyes continue to open & close, the scalp hair continues to grow, and the brain continues to add tissue.

27 Weeks Pregnant

I usually upload baby bump pictures ever two weeks, but I couldn't help it... I feel so much bigger than last week! I guess you can be the judge!

Baby Copp has been moving around quite a bit! Steven has been at a conference in D.C. since last Friday, so maybe it's because Baby Copp has been missing Daddy the past few days!

We have a doctor's appointment on Thursday. Keep us in your prayers that all reports come back healthy! It's just 87 days now until we meet Baby Copp!

26 Weeks Pregnant!

It's officially 93 days until we get to meet Baby Copp!
July 7th is going to be here very soon! We can hardly wait!

Fetal Developments

26 weeks - The baby makes breathing movements, but there is no air in the lungs yet. Hands are active and muscle coordination is such that he/she can get a thumb into the mouth. Thumb sucking calms the baby and strengthens the cheek and jaw muscles. Touching and playing with the baby is possible now, as they may respond to touch through the belly wall. Brain growth continues with brain wave activity for the visual and auditory systems starting to develop. Baby weighs about 1.7 pounds and is approximately 14 inches long!

27 weeks - Third trimester, here WE come!! Baby now has eyebrows and eyelashes and hair is growing everyday. The muscle tone is improving and his or her body is getting plumper. The brain continues its rapid growth.

WILD times in Manhattan!

Jungle Theme Baby Shower

Baby Copp is sooooo blessed to have three AMAZING "aunts"! Luiza, Carrie, & Kala threw a wonderful jungle baby shower in Manhattan for a few of my work friends and our "lab" friends (aka - the wive's club)!

The baby shower helped celebrate being 25 weeks pregnant!

Everything was so well planned out. The decorations were amazing, the food tasted GREAT, and the games were so fun! I loved every minute!

Lu did such an AMAZING job on the cake and cup cakes - the animals looked so life-like! Best of all, the frosting and modeling chocolate WAS DELICIOUS!!

SO CUTE! I loved it!

The party favors were adorable as well - candy pacifiers and cloth diapers!
The "aunts" thought of EVERYTHING!

I'm so blessed to have such wonderful friends! The party was a great time! I really enjoyed the chat session afterwards... lots of advice and pregnancy/delivery stories were shared!

Thank you to everyone who gave us a gift! Everybody was so generous and I know Baby Copp would say thank you if he/she could! Just you being in attendance was gift enough!

I was SUPER excited that my friend Heather could make it from Kansas City! I always love seeing her and catching up! It's like we hadn't missed a beat from when we last spoke! :)

Lu's blanket game was a hit! All those items will come in handy later!

Grandma Haug even made the trip for the shower! It was so great having her there (and hearing her stories about EASY labors)!! :) She and Grandpa were so generous to get us the jungle bedding to finish off their crib gift! Steven, baby, & I are SO grateful and blessed to have you in our lives!

Steven and I could hardly wait to put up the baby items in our new baby room. The sheet set definitely makes it feel more like a baby room!

New Addition to the Baby Room!

Our New Glider & Ottoman Are In! :)

Steven and I had fun putting together the latest piece of furniture for Baby Copp's room. It was really simple and boy is it COMFY!!

Until Baby Copp arrives, Steven is calling this is "NCAA Tournament Chair." He plans to move it to the living room for game nights! :)

This chair looks great in the baby room! It matches everything nicely!
